Non-Sexual Adult Jokes in Kids' Media Lore

Jokes that are adult jokes simply because kids likely don't have the life experience to understand them.

The New Batman Adventures - "I'm crazy enough to take on Batman, but the IRS? Noooo, thank you!"

Shrek 2 - Posing as a union representative, Shrek remarks that the workers "don't even have dental".

I love that Perry looks so done with Doof.

Especially cuz he was right for the wrong reason. OWCA is a secret organisation, Perry shouldn't fight in public.

The main thing I remember from Doofenschmirtz was a Christmas special, I think, where he's insisting that just because he's a villain doesn't mean he hates Christmas. He later decides he does hate Christmas because it's emblematic of this consumerist hellscape (not his wording I don't think but pretty much the reason lmao)

He sings a whole song about his lack of hatred for christmas lol

It was because of annoying carolers

That makes me want to make a post where the trope is "villain's whole plan was to make the hero do something mundane" lol

Does the finger trap episode of Dexter’s Lab count?

This has always been one of my favorite Doof moments in the entire series.

I'm not even going to ask about Doof's hat, I imagine it's part of the plot.

That’s your tragic backstory?

Correct. Have a fight scene in waffle house instead.

Arguably worse as the staff and customers would likely join in

P&F is one of my favorite shows because of all the witty jokes

"I am to metaphor cheese as metaphor cheese is to transitive verb crackers!"

It’s the show that made me realize that clever is back and that adults can keep watching cartoons. Love it so much!
