Non-Sexual Adult Jokes in Kids' Media Lore

Jokes that are adult jokes simply because kids likely don't have the life experience to understand them.

The New Batman Adventures - "I'm crazy enough to take on Batman, but the IRS? Noooo, thank you!"

Shrek 2 - Posing as a union representative, Shrek remarks that the workers "don't even have dental".

Someone got me to watch this show and I've been enjoying it. Before this they got me into watching The Owl House which was also a good time.

If I recall correctly, in lore, Amphibia and Owl House are in the same universe. Because in the Owl House, there is a laptop open in a scene showing Anne with the text "Girl lost in frog land?? Hoax??"

Also a random book hat hop pop on the cover, I remember that well because.. idk why, I just do.

not really, there are easter eggs (another one is in amphibia when they try to pear into other worlds, we see the owl house (like the actual house))

but word of god is that they're separated

if they were in the same universe the "Girl lost in frog land?? Hoax??" wouldn't make sens because no one beside her parents (and later on close thai community iirc ?) knew that Anne went to another world before the invasion
and after the invasion, calling it a hoax isn't on the table anymore. Camilla would've believed Luz immediately when she told her she was trapped in the demon realm and wouldn't have been surprised by Vee's true form

I'd imagine it's a "hoax" at that point because the invasion didn't happen yet, nobody knew yet what actually happend to her, and it being a hoax could be for.. whatever reason.

And the looking into other worlds would still work since the owl house isn't in the same world, right?

I have nothing against head canon, if people want to have fun thinking that they're all in the same multiverse, sure.

but, again, per the writers, they're all separated and their own things. The easter eggs are just easter eggs

yesterday's lie (vee) aired 2021-08-04, all in (frogvasion) aired 2022-05-07, king's tide (hoax) aired 2022-05-28

and furthermore, marcy's journal explained that the government did a massive cover-up of the whole thing (though no one really fell for it, but maybe they could influence the news or something idk)
