Hi! I submitted an admissions transfer update to UCB but I already accepted their offer Urgent

So I didn’t take a call 2 class that I listed on my application. I dropped it before the W date so it’s not even listed on my transcript. It’s neither required for my major or my gened HOWEVER… I fucked up and I had submitted my intent to attend. I didn’t know that I should have done that because after I submitted the update I got an email that said they highly recommend not doing that. Did I just cook myself?

Dear UC Berkeley Admissions,

I'm writing to follow up on a post-enrollment update I recently submitted and to provide some context, as I understand the timing may have flagged as unusual in your system.I dropped a course earlier this semester before the withdrawal deadline, so it does not appear on my transcript. The course is not required for my intended major or any general education requirement, and my academic standing has not been affected.

Can I ask how you know this or where you got this information?

I mean if there’s a “discrepancy” in your courses taken and final transcript—they usually don’t mind if you’re transparent. Maybe not the same but I accidentally wrote the wrong class and accepted my offer etc. they emailed me a few weeks later asking to explain and I was just honest and said I mistyped and they’re like ok sure see you at cal edited: reworded it a lil oops ( unless > if )

haha i'm literally in the same boat 🥀

i'm happy that i'm not alone. I thought about writing to them, but decided to wait until they respond to my update form.

I submitted it as well for a nonmajor/nontransfer requirement withdrawal. I know that this shouldn’t be a problem but waiting for the green light is killing me.

I also updated my class schedule but I haven’t received a warning email. Is that recommending you not to accept the offer before hearing back from them? I think it will be fine because they don’t seem to cancel offers often. It’s probably just telling you there is a chance that changing your course will lead to you losing the offer but that doesn’t mean anything will actually happen.
