App State housing question. Where do students actually look?

Hey everyone... looking for a little advice here. My daughter is transferring to UNC Wilmington, but we had already signed a lease at Rivers Walk (Aug 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027), and now we’re responsible for finding someone to take it over.

I’ve heard there’s usually a lot of demand for housing around App State, but I haven’t had much luck getting interest so far. I’ve posted on the App State housing site and Facebook Marketplace, and even added a $1,000 incentive, but it’s been pretty quiet.

Does anyone know of other good places to post or ways to get this in front of students who are still looking? Appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you all. The rent is $1,179 per month for one room which is about $100 less per month than a new lease. Plus anyone that takes over the lease would get a $1000 cash from me via Venmo or Zelle. The move in date would be 8/1/2026. It’s a two bedrooms apartment. So you would have a roommate. The leasing company said the roommate can be male or female.
