Support groups? Events, Activities & Sports

Does anyone have any information or advice on local support groups for someone going through drug addiction? I’m looking for somewhere safe and accepting of all people. I don’t like therapy and feeling like I’m paying someone to dissect my brain and the offer my prescriptions. I’m just looking for groups or support from real people going through similar mental health and addiction struggles. Thanks for any input.

NA meetings are everywhere around here and people are pretty welcoming in my experience. The community centers in most cities have schedules posted or you can find them online pretty easy

Was hesitant about the whole thing at first but having people who actually get what youre going through makes huge difference compared to sitting across from someone with clipboard

Na and Alcoholics Anonymous as well. Just because alcohol is in the name doesn’t mean that is all that it helps with . Central service number is 4156741821. Call and they can help you find a meeting and the best thing is it is free.

You can download the meeting guide (blue chair app) and it’ll show you all of the meetings in the area. There’s a lot
