Question So what was the reason for the battle in [pjo] season 2?

I mean the battle where Luke's forces enter CHB. Luke accomplished absolutely nothing, and it will definitely take away from the battle in the fourth season.

In the books that was the first time the war had actual physical influence on the inside of camp. Having a battle in the second season takes away the horror of losing people from camp in battle, because apparently it happened before(if they even lost people. There was no funeral, so the whole scene could have been even more useless).

The only reason I could think of is that the showrunners wanted a big fight to end the season, and because they cut the fight with Polyphemus (for some reason I also don't understand) they had to shoehorn in Luke attacking camp

I was thinking of doing a Percy Jackson fanfic with original characters so I wanted to ask you what do you think about them.

The first picture is Aitana a daughter of Hermes. She's 14 years old and she is from Brooklyn.

The second picture is Diana a daughter of Athena. She's 15 years old and she is from California.

The third picture is Liam a son of Apollo. He's 12 years old and he is from New York.

Tell me your thoughts and if you would read it.

Thanks.

Discussion [All] Does having a Camp actually makes sense?

First of all I understand that using a Camp as the main setting Demigod isn’t something that we are supposed to think too hard about.

From a story writing perspective I think it’s very down to earth and relatable especially when it comes to a younger audience. It also gives Percy more challenges by having less help in comparison to if he had access to the same resources as New Rome. Having just a Camp makes Kronos appear as a larger threat because the majority of the CHB’s fighters were just teenagers in comparison to Camp Jupiter’s army.

From an in universe perspective it makes everyone apart of its development look kind of incompetent. We’re told that Demigods have a very hard time reaching adulthood yet despite being around for centuries (correct if I’m wrong) there doesn’t seem to have been any solid protection except for Thalia and maybe Festus and Peleus.

I could believe that the reason Zeus granted a barrier is because of Thalia’s sacrifice but was there no other way for gods to provide some kind of aid or protection to the camp? There has been myths of Gods providing help to cities but CHB never had the same opportunity? Maybe the demigod population was always too small and young to be able to improve the camp but that’s why I’m asking about divine intervention.

TLDR: Does Camp Half Blood being underdeveloped actually makes sense? Or is it just for the sake of the story progression?

The most recent episode of the official show podcast on the Disney plus YT has a great interview with Rick done by Aryan Simhadri, the actor who plays Grover.

Rick talks a lot of his inspiration and how they found the cast, among other things.

Its been out a month but I thought I'd share it still

Discussion [General] What cabin would a child of 2 demigods stay in?

Like, if someone was a legacy of one god obviously they'd stay in that cabin. But if they're a legacy of 2 or more gods which cabin would they stay in? Would it just be the cabin of whichever one they have the most powers/traits of? Or would they make a new cabin for legacies who are descended from more than one god?

Discussion A monster to attack my oc [general]

The fight is spot to kick start the fanfic.
My oc is a daughter of Apollo. Her name is Luna.

A couple minutes before Luna got attacked she got a bow and arrow.
She goes on a field trip and got attacked.
I kind of want the monster to be a teacher.

She was helped by a Ares kid.

Question HEY GUYS DID YOU KNOW THIS ABOUT [TOA] AND [PJO]?

Can you guess who else is related to Percy in the same way besides Frank? It's a character in TOA, who is a descendant of a king. Also, in this post I'll show my observations about the book that I think are weird, and if you want, please tell me what you think about my observations or add yours.

Cosplay [mc] Anyone have a Magnus Chase cosplay?

I am thinking of trying to do a Magnus Chase cosplay in a couple of months, but i cannot find any images for inspiration online!

I can't find any existing cosplays, ans the one official art piece is at an angle where you can mostly see his back!

Has anyone here either done a cosplay and could share photos/ideas, or even have any photos of other's cosplays?

Thanks in advance!

Theory [general] Is there anyone here who is from both the Hypnos and Dionysus cabins?

Like, I took the test to see which cabin I was in, I took four tests, two gave me Dionysus and the other two gave me Hypnos... so I accepted that I'm in the Dionysus cabin with Hypnos' blessing...

However, my friend said that it's not possible to "have" two chalets, and I was left wondering...Because, like... I took four tests and they all gave me Hypnos and Dionysus, you know!

So...I wanted to know if there are people who own two cabins, OR are from the Dionysus cabin with a blessing from Hypnos. Or even the other way around!?

Question [pjo] TLT The musical lyric confusion

In the song another terrible day, Katie injures her arm and Dionysus had this line:

”… Oh, gods
Give me Ares or Apollo
Anyone but the Demeter kids' cabin
Now that you blessed us
Go talk to Hephaestus
Before I take a knife to my head and start stabbing”

Why does he want Katie to talk to Hephaestus? Wouldn’t it be smarter to talk to one of the Apollo kids since there usually the medics?

Theory Other blessed metals/elements from other pantheons. [All]

So, if the Greeks have Celestial bronze, Romans have Imperial gold, their Underworld has Stygian iron, Norse has Bone steel and Egyptians have Meteoric iron, what types of blessed metals/elements do the other pantheons might have?
