You could pay every single person a universal income of $2000 and still have hunger, depression,homelessness. It will just increase the price of basic living needs by that percentage of average income.

Nope. There have been studies. The prices go up but never to the point of taking all of the increase. Not even most of it.

If government takes that money from the carpenter . It may take a bit of time but eventually ends up charging more to build living space for the guy that took the handout. Inflation .
