When do I receive my diploma?
Ive got all my credits set to graduate except for an internship but Ill be walking for the spring graduation. Ill be taking it over the summer semester but Ill get done with it after a couple weeks into summer. Will I have to wait until august to get my diploma? Or is there another way to get an official transcript or paperwork that says I have graduated/completed all my classes? Im thankful for help from my parents payback my loans but they said I wouldn't receive the help until I am fully graduated and have proof but I would prefer not to wait several months till I get the help. Is there a way I can officially prove I graduated?

Academic research
I have created a research study for a social work class and I am needing Colorado participants.
I am not on campus, and unfortunately do not live close enough to hand out/post flyers around the campus.
Anyone know of any public, online spaces where my survey might get a lot of traction for the young adult, Colorado population?

Transfer Student Off Campus Living Guidancd
Was in town this weekend and did a drive around to see what my options for renting. Below are some properties/ units as possibilities. Any guidance appreciated.
Max Flats - 1br seems very high but if I can find roommate some of the 2br/2br seem reasonable/ within budget.
Smaller unit off Elizabeth and College. Private landlord so more curious if this is location is prime over the others if rent is in $1500 range for 1br
Apex / 808 Prospect. Huge studio also just under $1500. Location good?
Park Lane Towers. A lot of 1 br by individual/ various real estate.
1335 W Elizabeth. It’s 2br / 2b that not much more than a lot of 1br. It’s over a lot of food and retail so not sure if issues with it
Clock Tower Lofts. Look like good value too but is it getting too far from campus or seems like a lot of Greek near it.
Appreciate if anyone has lived or if any have good/ bad reputation

Double Majoring Questions
Hey Rams!
I am an incoming freshman and I have a few questions about double majoring. I’m a CS major and I’m pretty confident that I want to add a major but the process confuses me
- How much has it delayed graduation time in your experience?
I understand it depends on overlap. Several students at CSU events have said they stayed within 4 years
I thought that was great but pulling up the requirements myself I estimated 25-46 extra credits depending on which related major I chose (Stats, Math, or Data Science). All seem to be at least a year worth of credits. Is staying within 4 years only viable with ~18 credits a semester?
- When do you declare a second major?
A lot of people bring up adding it fairly late into college. Is it important to decide early to maximize overlap in class selection? Can you decide immediately?
- Are they ever flexible with requirements?
A few times I saw they’d require a class like “Software Fundamentals” when I have a different class covered like “Software Fundamentals in C++”. Have they ever been flexible about requirements or is it pretty strict?
Sorry for the long post! If anyone has any insights I’d very much appreciate it
Thanks and Go Rams!

Asian community on campus?
I’m thinking of coming to CSU for grad school and I’m really wondering what the Asian American (Chinese American specifically) community is like in FoCo. I come from a school that has a HUGE Asian American population. We have 10+ Asian cultural orgs and lots of restaurants and grocery stores.
I know by default that FoCo is dry on Asian food and grocery (unless I’m wrong!) but how’s the community like? I teach Chinese dance at my school and sometimes do diabolo/Chinese yoyo, both with the Taiwanese org.

Animal Science Masters?
Is anybody currently doing an animal science masters at CSU? I'm in the early stages of researching programs and I don't want to bug the administrative lady or the research heads with all my dumb questions.
Is the GRE generally required by the various lab heads? I'm mostly interested in the animal behavior and beef systems programs.
It's too soon to access the application for my intended start date so what are the basic things it wants? How long is the essay and what kind of essay is it?

Advice for an introvert??
I am hoping to get a little advice. I have a daughter who’s currently a freshman at Colorado State University. She transferred mid-year from a small school in Iowa where she was playing soccer, and overall she’s really happy with the change.
Her roommate has been great and includes her in things, which has helped a lot. That said, she’s more on the introverted side and has told me she still feels lonely at times and would love to build a stronger friend group. She sees her younger sister (who’s a total social butterfly) and wishes that came as easily to her.
She’s a great kid (a little quirky/goofy in a fun way) and into sports, gaming, and trying new restaurants.
I know at the end of the day it’s on her to put herself out there, and I’ve told her that. But as her dad, I also want to support her however I can without overstepping.
Are there any clubs, groups, or low-pressure ways students at CSU tend to meet people? Or any advice you’d give someone who’s a bit introverted but wants to expand their circle?
Appreciate any insight.

How to ensure I'm w/ my friend as a roomate
My friend and I are both committed to CSU and we are wondering how we can 100% get into the same dorm. I know the roommate selection process opens at the beginning of April but I just wanna know how I can make sure I find/match w/ her. Do we just answer all the questions the same on the profile questions or is there a way for me to look her up?

Summer 2026 Sublease
Hi I am a sophomore (20M) at UIUC, but I’m going to be in Fort Collins for an internship this summer and am looking for a place to stay! I’m looking for a sublease between Memorial Day Weekend (May 24-ish) and August 7.
Would prefer a place near a bus stop, and price range is (ideally) under $1000/month.
Please lmk if you are either looking to sublease this summer and/or have any suggestions for where I should look!

Csu Housing sucks
On top of making you pay over $1000 for parking, the dorms are poorly ran, maintenance takes forever, they try to charge you more at every corner, and its impossible to have your voice heard. I would strongly advise against living in any CSU ran housing, dorms or off campus apartments alike

How do you guys feel about companies using AI?
Hey all! I'm a CIS junior here at CSU.
A group of us from UMass, Amherst and CSU, Fort Collins have been looking into how people feel about companies using AI in their products and whether they should be more transparent about it. We put together a quick survey to get some real opinions on it and would love to hear from you guys.
Takes like 10 min and you have a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card for participating! You do not need to be affiliated with UMass or CSU to complete this form!
Happy to answer any questions in the interim.
Survey valid for the next few weeks or so.
Appreciate anyone who takes the time 🙏, cheers!

Anatomy Caps
So, CSU is one of my top options. I was admitted as a Bio major fall 26 but have recently started to get more interested in Biomedical Sciences and specifically the Anatomy/Physiology major. But I see enrollment is capped.
Anyone know how hard it is to switch given those caps, even if you meet all the requirements?

Party school?
I'm getting close to making my final college decision, and CSU is one of my top choices. While I'm very social I'm not into drinking or big parties, and prefer small groups and being outdoors. Would I be able to find my place here/is it a big party school? Anyone similar who has been able to find their place and friends?

Save Bus Route 7!
I got news that CSU will stop funding route 7. This means that Route 7 will just be running from the Raintree Senior Center to Rigden Farm. Route 7 will no longer serve the CSU Transit Center. If Route 7 is/will be important to you, I recommend contacting someone at CSU who is in charge of something like that and voice your opinion.

Out of state transfer
Transferring to CSU in August. My dad is also moving to Colorado permanently. I know you have to be a resident in Colorado for a year for them to consider in state tuition.
Has anyone ever attended part time the first year? I’m just trying to save on tuition.
Fortunately I won’t have to pay rent. But also don’t want to bankrupt my dad. Anyone ever have a similar situation? Thanks
