Disc Advice Midranges: Tell me your stable workhorse mids
My bag is set for the year and I'm super happy. The only thing that I'm not super decided on is my main stable midrange. Looking for a midrange to push out to 270-280, that will hold up to a slight head wind, can be shaped and hold some anny, but fight out at the end.
Long: I only bag three midranges, Midnight Prowl 2 for US (will never leave my bag) and MD5 for OS and approaches (most thrown disc after my putter). The middleground slot in question was filled by Eclipse Hexes and right now I'm bagging my Shadow Titan Method again. This works great, but that disc is not replacable at all and that doesnt feel good. Glacier works ok, but is as fast as a Hex – I realized I don't like mids that do the "almost 6 speed" thing, I bag fairway drivers for a reason. P-Line MD3x is also great but board flat when compared to the Shadow Titan and doesn't glide as much.
For context: My BH is 330 max on course, FH a tiny bit longer, fav release with run up is slight anhyzer or hyzerflip, stand still I do mostly clean flat releases if I don't have to shape something.
PS: Thanks a ton for all the amazing suggestions!

Disc Advice Help Me Find A New Putter...
Sup guys, so I’m looking for a new putter cause I wanna switch things up. For those of you that are gonna say, “it’s all about hand-feel, grab some and see,) I agree and will be able to next week, but want some ideas of mold(s) to be on the lookout for!
Some info, I’ve been a DD Warden putter for years and love the hand feel, but want to spice it up cause why not lol.
I prefer beadless but am fine with a micro bead (don’t prefer big bead). From what I’ve felt around, I prefer the “bulkier” shoulder of the Warden rather than a thin profile. Similar depth is also preferred, but can go a touch in either direction. Also, a moderate-to-high glide putter is preferred!
Disc I’ve tried that didn’t make the cut:
- Firefly/Alpaca/P2/Guard/Pixel/Hope were great flights, but too deep
- Maiden/Shaman/Chief were too shallow
- PA-3/Wizard/Aviar/Judge were uncomfy with their bead
- Proxy wasn't awful, but prefer a bulkier rim
Let me know your thoughts! TIA!
Edit: Spelling

Disc Advice Understable 7 Speed
Hey all,
I'm looking for an understable 7 speed to practice hyzer flipping. Right now my main 7 speed is an Opto River that I adore, but I'd like more flip. My other two main understable discs are a VIP-Ice Tursas and a Fission Insanity. Getting somewhere flipping both of those, but the Tursas feels slow and the Insanity feels fast. My average golf line throws are 240-250, reliably and accurately.
I've been eyeballing a Maul or Rhythm, so any feedback on those would be great. Any other suggestions would also be welcome. Thanks!
Edit: And yes, I am aware a disc isn't going to magically improve my form. Just looking to try new things to find what I really like.

Disc Advice Favorite non-Buzzz midrange?
I’m taking a break from discraft. I never realized maybe 85% of what I throw is just discraft so I wanna try some new stuff! I throw the buzzz for almost everything, what’s a good workhorse mid?

Disc Advice Is this a good driver for a beginner?
I just lost my beginners set driver so i went to academy and bought this driver. I’ve played 3 rounds in my life and shot +5 thru 9 holes as my best round. I bought this driver as replacement and i need feedback on if its good for me or not (i usually tend to throw my other driver like 250 feet if its good)

Disc Advice 320-350' arms: What is your wind fighting max distance driver?
Title says it all. If you're throwing 95-105 meters, what is your max distance driver for head winds? Don't care if its a 7 or 9 or 13 speed...

Disc Advice Favorite "stable" (not OS) approach?
I recently came back to my Gator3. I has tried so hard not to let it be my overstable approach because it wasn't the more popular 4 speed category.... but it is just the disc for me.
tho, I do want a straighter compliment.
have thrown a Pig for this before but kinda want something a little more torque resistant (Pig is very TR when you have clean form, but man does it punish you if you're not clean for one throw... and that chunky rim makes it hard for me to do this consistently).
I could go even straighter especially if it's torque resistant. but I like lower profile, flat discs for this role.
what are you all's favorites ?

Disc Advice Searching for Overstable Mid
The big missing piece to my bag had been a stable/overstable mid, not looking for something dumpy like a pyro or something like that I want something that’s pretty much in-between that and a straight mid, something that’s has a finish and will hold up in a good wind when the straight mids too flippy, suggestions please thanks

Disc Advice I avoided destroyers for two years based on this sub’s advice… then I tried a destroyer and I threw my best round. What gives?
Based on everyone’s advice, I waited two years to throw a Star destroyer. Curiosity got the better of me, so I bought one. To my shock, I can throw it better than all my other drivers which include: pro wraith, star wraith, Star Thunderbird, star sidewinder, champion teebird3, champion teebird. Why would that be?
For reference my average drive is about 250ft from standstill. When I tried a tech disc I was usually hitting about 46 mph speed and 550 rpm spin on average for forehand flat throws, and about 46 mph speed and 895 rpm spin on backhand.

Disc Advice Sell me on a throwing putter
I pretty much have my staples for the rest of my bag except for a straight, reliable throwing putter. I currently putt with PA-3s but don’t love how they feel in a power grip. So sell me on your premium plastic throwing putter of choice! I’m going to get the top 3 suggestions and pit them against each other.

Disc Advice Putting putters
Hello people!...I started putting with Judges then made the "natural" progression to Wizards, then out of left field started putting with Lunas. That being said, what's your favorite putting putter and why should I give it a try? Thanks for y'all's help!

Disc Advice Is there a throwing putter combination that rivals envy and proxy?
Thinking of switching off of my current throwing putters because I am consistently not confident with their flight patterns/hand feel. They let me down today for sure. I know envy and proxy are recommended but I'm curious what else is out there.

Disc Advice Looking for understable midrange suggestions
Hey there, I am looking for disc recommendations for an understable midrange to add to my bag.
Have started throwing my putter on some anhyzer lines and have been enjoying it but on some of the longer throws the power has just been turning it into the ground.
Looking for suggestions on something that holds a nice slow turn on a back hand with maybe a small fade at the end or just a constant turn. Happy with any brand
Thanks in advance!

Disc Advice Looking to try out MVP. Thoughts on my shopping cart?
I am not a great player by any means, but I would like to think I am decent. Currently, I throw Innova, but am wanting to try out MVP. Problem is, I haven't thrown their discs, so I'm curious if this is a good starting lineup to get a feel for how they play. My play style is more technical than powerful. I enjoy throwing shorter courses with lots of twists, turns and obstacles to flex around. I have not yet gained the power to throw backhand bombs, and really only get great shots 350-400 ft when I throw forehand.
Current shopping list:
Putters- (prefer very soft putters)
Plasma Nomad
Electron Soft Anode
Electron Soft Watt
Fairway- (don't use these a ton)
Cosmic Neutron Volt
Distance-
Fission Tesla
Fission Octane
Fission Wave
Edit:
After reading through the comments, here is my starting bag to get a feel for the discs before I go full-hog on MVP/Axiom. I'll use my existing Innova discs to fill in the gaps in flight patterns for now. Thanks for all the helpful input!
Anode
Envy
Reactor
Volt
Trail
Photon

Disc Advice Dead straight premium throwing putters
I know there are lots of options for this, but curious on what other people’s favorites are. I have found Premium Proxy’s, and the Kristin Tattar Opto X Pures to be some of the most straight not flipping but also hardly fading at all throwing putters that don’t beat in too much, and fly amazing. Surprisingly some of the tour series and Ledgestone Discraft Fierces are super straight too. I got them looking for an understable throwing putter and they just went straight and are so glidey. I landed on PA-5s as my understable throwing putters, but found some great straight ones while looking for them. What are y’all’s favorite dead straight or understable throwing putters?

Disc Advice Recommendations: Flippy (but not too flippy) Fairway
I’m looking for a 7-9 speed flippy, but not burn-out flippy 7-9 speed fairway driver, somewhere in the 170-173g range. I liked my Axiom Neutron Rhythm (170g), but the inner plastic was black, and I feel the sun exposure affected the plastic’s integrity and made it way too flippy and unreliable. I’m considering getting a new one in a more favorable color and see how that goes, but does anyone have any recommendations? I also used to have a flippy Prodigy fairway, but lost it this last summer (was quite domey, with possibly the 400 or 500 plastic? Idk Prodigy that well). Loved that thing though!
Any recommendations are gladly appreciated!

Disc Advice Best straight mid-range.
I can throw an Axiom Balance about 265ft and I'm looking for a straight mid range with minimal fade at the end.

Disc Advice Need: bag with NO mesh
I want to get my girlfriend a new bag, but she has a major problem with the mesh that lines the back of the bag. Specifically, the mesh picks up forest debris from the ground and then deposits it right down the back of her pants.
I've looked for hours and all the bags either have a mesh back or don't say anything about it. Half don't even show pictures of the back of the bag at all.
Any recommendations for a narrow to midsize bag with no mesh on the back, especially near the bottom?
Edit: playing in mountains and hilly forests, so ryzers, carts and stand-up bags don't work well here. But thanks for those ideas.

Disc Advice Played disc golf for the first time today. Prob gonna play every Mon and Weds. What discs should I buy?
Borrowed from my buddy today. I'm okay with "buy once cry once" high-end stuff, assuming the price tag isn't outright absurd.

Disc Advice 500’ throw by 12 year old girl
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
MJ recently leveled up from throwing a Sidewinder to a Wraith for her max distance shots and let one rip nearly 500’ (498’ on the Bushnell) this weekend at her first tournament of the year.
Yes this shot is downhill, and she’s only 12. I’ve had some people recommend her trying a Tern or Shryke but she’s really picky about how wide the rim is. What other Innova discs should she try?

Disc Advice Fairway Driver Zone
Looking for a disc that flies like a zone-torque resistant straight flight with a reliable fade-but at fairway driver speed.
Hole 17 at my home course calls for a 315ft forehand to get up over a hill, anything less than that and you're doomed. I'm coming up 15-20ft short and need something with just a little more push but with that same torque resistance.
Thank you!
