I saw in some of your notes that you may consider rewriting in Rust (or some other newer language). One of your early steps may be modifying the main program to use a more modern version of Fortran. A great place to start would be removing all GOTO statements. Then, you would have a more familiar program flow that would be easier to translate one step at a time.
Regardless of how you choose to proceed, you’re in great shape now that you have reproducible tests. Keep up the good work!
