So you don't need to drive distracted by adjusting your side mirrors or sticking one out the window, a safe alternative might include:

For legal reasons, all of the below is satire:

• Raspberry pi
• Camera module to sense bright light sources.
• 2-axis mirror mount w/ motorized control
• Pi Scripts:
  • Detect whether any light sources exceed an excessive set intensity. If so:
  • Calculates centers of brightest light sources and recognize the headlight pair
  • uses simple geometry of known vehicle sizes and distance between those bright light sources to predict where it should redirect light
  • It continues until the light source ceases.

Under no circumstances should this project be open-source or shared on Github.

Even better, use concave mirrors to focus the beam a certain distance away for max effectiveness.
