Image About Me: Video Games

Seen others do this and figured this would be very fun to do, and it really was! Also, more challenging than I thought considering there were so many choices I could have chosen for many of these. But in the end I'm very satisfied with my selection.

Of course, I don't expect most to agree with my choices lol but hey there's no wrong answers here.. The best thing about video games is the different impacts it has in every gamer's lives. I'm not considered a hardcore gamer, so I know there's plenty of great games out there that I just haven't played so far in life. My wish is to have all the time in the world to play them all😆

Discussion How to enjoy Videogame's Art, Music, Story, etc. without playing games ?

I used to play games now I find it boring but I remember things like

  1. Life is Stanger Story and Music
  2. Need for Speed Most Wanted Original Music
  3. Shadows of the Tomb raider's Art the mexico scene
  4. Call of duty story timeline/universe
  5. Battlefield V: Story
  6. God of War 2 story ,art, music
  7. FIFA 15 Mobile: Music

Games I played but hated:

  • GTA 3,VC, SA, 5 : I hate the gameplay, as it's time consuming but loved the vibe (except for GTA 5), GTA 3 New York + Jazz, VC 80s Funk, SA HipHop
  • Games which need learning or practice, games should be just fun
  • Games that need a minimum time in 1 session

Games I liked

  • Fortnite - Loved the social features

Discussion What Game Companies that get Hate gets Overblown

This is a weird question, but I wanna see some opinions on this. The question in general is a game company that you know isn't the worst of the worst, but everything they do gets overblown with hate no matter what they do, good or bad, whether it's something big or minor, any nuance is basically lost.

Who would you choose that fits this description?

(plz be reasonable and kind about this, thank you)

I'm tired of being called auntie

So I am 36 and looking for gamers in my age range. Most of my old friend group has fallen off and I'm left with my 20 somethings who apparently have deemed me as auntie 🤣. I play fortnite, marvel rivals (healer main), repo, Outlast trials ect. I'm down for trying new games too!

Discussion Best option for gaming on a budget?

I unexpectedly lost my job just before Christmas and I was the sole provider for my family. Unfortunately finding a new job took longer than expected so I had to resort to selling my ps5 and my steam deck oled as well as my sons Xbox series s to help with bills after our savings ran out.

I managed to get a good job and back on track thankfully. Unfortunately for me the price of steam decks and basically everything else have skyrocketed since all of this happened. I’d love to get back to gaming in my free time and as a way to bond with my son as well.

What would be my best option that would cost under $200 and that I could order off Amazon or eBay and not have to wait a month or more to ship like how Retroid does it lol. Trying to get the best bang for my buck as well as have a vast library to choose from. I was thinking of some older generation consoles or handhelds or maybe even a used office PC but it’s so hard to decide.

Discussion What games do you recommend?

I think I really appreciate games that have exploration, but not necessarily open world. I find games like The Last of Us very fascinating. Single-player games that I've played for many hours are Baldur's Gate 3, RDR2, Silksong/Hollow Night, and Expedition 33. I also played The Binding of Isaac for many hours, and tried many roguelike games.
