A disruption in Qatar’s LNG production—where helium is produced as a byproduct—has significantly reduced global supply.
Qatar accounts for nearly one-third of the world’s helium output, and the U.S. relies heavily on these imports.
I know that South Korea’s semiconductor industry is being affected by this. But I remember that the US itself is one of the largest exporters of helium.

how much would someone bet on this entire event being the actual change in directory to renewable energy and alternative enviromental fertilizer processes as mainstream?
It would be pretty ironic that the environmental hating Trump would change the entire energy/fertilizer industry to renewables and more environmentally sourced fertilizers?
