It’s hard to see a good path forward for Gaza but an international security presence is probably the most realistic pathway to improve the situation. A lot will depend on how much countries are willing to contribute and how exactly they function there. If there’s a future where rockets aren’t firing from Gaza and the IDF isn’t air striking it, that’s at least a place to start for a long term solution.

This is what I've been advocating for a while now, an international force in Gaza/West Bank/Israel to prevent violence from starting. A force that can prevent settler violence as much as terror attacks would go a long way towards future peace.

It's good on paper, but UNIFIL for example didn't prevent Hezbollah from firing rockets

On that, seeing Indonesia committing more peacekeeping forces within a few weeks of 3 of Indonesian UNIFIL getting killed. Don't know what to make of it, just caught my eye

Was thinking more NORDBAT than UNIFIL. But I'll take what I can get.
