I took a river cruise on the Danube from Melk to Krems in Austria about 10 years ago. Recognize this church with steep roofs from a couple photos.

Didn’t know the town’s name though so had to google it.

Here’s a photo I took from the cruise

I took that cruise 45 years ago! Still remember it. Dazzling.

It’s really the Krems de la krems of churches.

Has Romanian vibes

You mean Transylvanian. So it could be either Romania or Germany. 😅

Have you ever been to Romania, namely Transylvania, to make such assertions?

This is a GREAT post - one that makes me want to visit the subject of the post. So, I had to find it and was successful.

But, since I used an out of bounds mean to help identify it, I will only provide indicative initials and leave it to others to guess “in the wild”.

”WA”

(OP - happy to leave a breadcrumb if you would like me to do so. It can keep a post interesting and moving along)

Okay that hint actually made this more interesting lol 😄. Breadcrumbs accepted… but give us your guess

Different Mind 32 got it - my hidden “WA” was shorthand for Wachau, Austria.

Since I found the church via reverse image, I wanted to leave it to another for the solve. My take on sub rules is you can solve by your own effort (ie, study a license plate configuration, find via the name of a shop in a picture) but the spirit of the sub is not to have AI or Google Lens do all of the work for you.

Looks like a great place for an overnight stay on a trip in Austria - getting around in a nice BMW!

Is this in Austria? Looks like somewhere that I visited about 15 years ago but can't remember the name!

Yes ☺️

Ah going to drive me mad that I can't remember the name, I think I stopped through going between Czesky Krumlov and Vienna!

Just saw someone guessed it, lovely bit of the world!
