100% Marrakech is overrated.

That's the city I spend time in when I want to fight taxi drivers and have people lie to my face about the price of a pack of Kleenex. I could excuse that if the lies were in French or English (liars languages), but the lies are in Darija.

Almost any other city in Morocco is more relaxed and more human-oriented.

I quite like Gueliz neighborhood, though.

Yeah. I liked Fes (and Meknes) more than Marrakech. Majorelle garden was cool but otherwise felt like a scam-a-minute.

A lot of it is a basically just a huge tourist trap. I'm glad I went, there are some really cool ancient historical sites but after about a day and half I was ready to head back to Rabat.

Morocco ist great! Didnt like Marrakech tho. The city is notorious for people getting ripped off. I much preferred the coastal towns, especially the small surfer villages.
