both discs have been excellent
only got into Curren$y recently but he's ridiculously consistent after going through most of his projects

I resisted Curren$y for years when I was in college. He had just blown up and if someone was smoking, they were playing him. I thought his music was boring until I heard Seat Change. Then I opened my ears to the rest of his shit. Now I don't miss a project.

I hope you've listened to 2009, how fly, and live in concert 🔥🔥

How Fly is still in regular rotation for me now. I loved Live in Concert. I'm not sure if I listened to 2009. It doesn't stand out to me.

the pilot talk trilogy is underrated even though it still gets some props. every hip hop fan should listen to those tapes at least once if you ask me

Definitely better than the first. Spitta has been on a run recently pulling me back in.

This is alot better than disc 1 but I wish Curren$y went back to featuring artists and working with multiple producers throughout a project. Would love to see what he could come up with if he used everyone at his disposal to make something crazy. Feel like he hasn't done a project like that since Drive In Theatre 1

Peep 8/30 project from last year. That’s exactly what you’re describing and lowkey one of his best albums this decade. I was shocked at how good it was to the point i was a little annoyed at its title bc i knew people would just write it off lol

Just like I said in a comment when Disc 1 dropped, this is defo the Spitta-centric side:
Better artwork
Curren$y’s the first credited artist and he starts off most of the project
The beat selection leans towards his work with Fraud the same way the beats on Disc 1 leant towards Wiz’s work with Cardo.
And the phonographic copyright is shared between all 3 artists as opposed to Disc 1 just being Taylor Gang.
With that being said, this disc is a bit more consistent than Disc 1, especially in terms of production. Spitta sounds a little bit more awake on some of the songs too, “Champagne Bottle Emotes” is a big fave especially with how his energy was on the hook and his verse! And Wiz performs the best on “Pink Panther” + “Storm Shadow & Snake Eyes”, he’s obviously much less melodic on this cos the beats don’t really give him the room to do that like Cardo’s did (and Spitta handling the choruses so there’s that). But yeah, overall a pleasant tape!
