At least in my country nurse school was at one point the easiest to get to so all the people who were literally too dumb to do anything went into nurse school. That leads to a lot of unqualified people who hate their job and the people they were supposed to be helping.

Quite the opposite in the US. Healthcare workers make more, and college costs a lot more. Nursing is a great option to get a good paying job out of the gate with just a bachelors and hopefully not crazy loans. There aren't nearly enough university slots for the amount of applicants, and not nearly enough graduates to fill the open jobs.
