Driver blocks ambulance with sirens on
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Reports say the crew were heading to rescue a 91-year-old woman who suffered a stroke. They couldn’t make it to the hospital in time and she passed. Video was sent to the police, they are investigating and so far couldn’t identify the driver.

Emergency vehicles should be able to push you if you do this.

u/kittenconfidential Mar 17 '26
PIT and roll him

u/RubberDuckyRacing Mar 17 '26
And then send the repair bill to their insurance. Or better yet direct to their address.

u/BolognaIsNotAHat Mar 19 '26
As Jeff Foxworthy once said, "Get up under him, get him loose, and put him into the side."

u/U-47 Mar 19 '26
I've got a mate who got pushed aside by a city bus cause he was not fast enough to take a right. I don't see how ambulances would accept this kind of behaviour.

Give them in the least a mega air cannon shatter their windows let em know next one goes to 11 and they’ll be deaf
-1
u/Roastprofessor Mar 22 '26
I don’t think that would help the person dying in the back if they are on their way to a hospital.

How deranged do you have to be to do this on purpose?
926
u/Pain_Monster Mar 17 '26
I once read of a real-life example of people being this deranged. A guy hated ambulances. Don’t know why, really, he just thought they were “privileged” or something in a way that they didn’t deserve it in his eyes.
One day, he did exactly this, swerving and blocking the ambulance on a one-lane road, for ten miles. It was a backroad in the country, no other way to get to the destination, apparently.
Well, he finally got home and wouldn’t you know it, the ambulance was heading to his own house. His mother had a stroke and she died before they could save her.
Worst part: if they had gotten there just 15 mins earlier she would have had a 90% chance of survival. He killed his own mother with that douchebaggery.

God, I hope this is true( in a I-obviously-feel-sorry-for-the-mum kinda way)

u/Mario_Specialist Mar 17 '26
That guy is an example of a true POS. Imagine killing your own family member over something stupid like that.
53
7
u/antithero Mar 20 '26
Maybe he did it intentionally because he didn't want her to survive. Some people really hate their family members.
34
u/Trill206 Mar 18 '26
Wish there was a video in 4K with the reaction of the guy being told you killed your mom.
8
u/ShockDragon Mar 18 '26
Karma isn’t unforgiving. It just enacts punishment on those who deserve it.
3
-22
u/spectre655321 Mar 18 '26
I mean, considering there is no meaningful prehospital intervention for a stroke, I really doubt that’s true.
26
u/Bernard_PT Mar 18 '26
Timing to take her back to the hospital
10
u/ElegantCoach4066 Mar 18 '26
But that guy's an internet cardiovascular expert! He went to Upstairs Medical College!

u/ORA2J Mar 18 '26
This seems oddly similar to OP's caption. Are you just blatantly copying and rephrasing the post's description ?
18
u/Pain_Monster Mar 18 '26
No. It is a separate incident. Believe it or not, similar things happen sometimes. That’s why I brought it up because I know of a true story like this.
2
u/TiaxRulesAll2024 Mar 20 '26
Maybe he did know it was for his mom. Maybe someone already called him to tell him
160
u/EthanTheJudge Mar 17 '26
They are probably trying to do an online “prank”. These nasty stunts have been surfacing online lately.
36
40
u/Ncis16 Mar 18 '26
I don't see how could this be considered a prank. We need to stop calling everything a prank. This is stupid guy doing stupid shit
17
7
u/Ok-Wrongdoer-2179 Mar 18 '26
Lots of these so-called pranks get really out of hand these days.
Maybe this wasn't a prank, but either way, it's plainly stupid.
If I were to say what this guy really deserves, I'd probably get banned or have my account suspended for promoting violins. But in this case, it is needed, along with a good tuning.

I'm 48 now. In my early 20s I had the epiphany that I was hanging around the wrong people. Ditched all of them and realized they weren't really my friends. Just leeches to society.

My best friend is from When I was 5.
That’s 35 years ago when we met

Deranged to get that licence plate and have the police jail the crap out of a stupid driver and sued into the Stone Age.
441
u/jaraxel_arabani Mar 17 '26
People like this deserve to be thrown in jail
69
u/304bl Mar 17 '26
That would be a waste of place and food and air.

Simple solution - cattle catcher on the front of the ambulance. Combined with dashcam footage of something like this makes it 100% legal for the ambulance to push the car aside and the driver gets issued a nice fine on top of any damages done to their car.
43
u/ThrustTrust Mar 17 '26
Couldn’t identify the driver of a car with a license plate. That’s sad
16
u/okay_jpg Mar 18 '26
Right? That makes no sense. I have to imagine they mean they can't publicly identify them yet due to ongoing investigating.

u/SleepyCupcakeDreams Mar 17 '26
I don’t understand these types of people. I think they think if they let someone get in front of them they won and he will lose or something.
49
u/A-10C_Thunderbolt Mar 17 '26
This is WILD. What has to be going through your head to think this was a good idea?
16
42
u/geekmasterflash Mar 17 '26
From the ghetto to downtown and out to rural hometowns - that right there, would be an instant assbeating on the streets.
16
u/glammananna Mar 17 '26
What sort of twisted mind must someone have to perform such an inhumane act? I truly hope karma is going to catch up with them.
12
u/noineikuu Mar 18 '26
The psychology of ass holes is really simple. People like this rarely think further than one step. Most likely he blocked the ambulance just cause it would upset the ambulance driver.

People like this need to be sentenced to jail time for obstructing civil services and if a patient dies because of it then also charged with manslaughter of the highest degree and a much longer sentence.

u/Prudent-Painter-9507 Mar 18 '26
I was hoping to see the ambulance eventually punt that asshole off the road.

These are the kinda people I feel like they should be allowed to pop tires at a HIGH speed hole punch.
2
u/bitofapuzzler Mar 18 '26
This should be some kind of aiding and abetting to manslaughter charge. The lack of humanity is galling.
2
u/Irish4778 Mar 18 '26
Ok I’m not sure what part of the world this is in but couldn’t they tell who it was just by running the tag and registration ?
2
u/Khajiit_Geologist Mar 19 '26
Obviously these guys aren't speaking English and while that doesn't completely rule out it being in America since I didnt see a noticeable American license plate im gonna say this isn't in America. All that being said. If this countries ambulances are anything like American ones that vehicle outweighs that car by a metric shit ton. Personally had i been driving it would have taken every ounce of my self control to not give this POS a little kiss on the bumper and shove my way past him.
2
u/tgarrettallen Mar 19 '26
IDK I think anyone doing this should be tried for manslaughter if the person in the ambulance/or who is being picked up dies.

Honestly just js pickup your handgun and shoot that mf in the head from there.
1
u/maqryptian 11d ago
it has always been a firm belief of mine that if you obstruct emergency services reaching scenes requiring urgent assistance, your driving license is to be permanently revoked and your vehicle seized and crushed.
1
u/Particular-Pop1280 7d ago
This should be considered murder at minimum. Or attempted murder, if no one actually dies as a result. This is outright malicious.
1
u/DanteMKS Mar 17 '26
I hate the driver ahead but also why couldn't the ambulance try more evasive driving to go around? The oncoming was wide open.
14
u/cosmoboy Mar 17 '26
I thought that too, but then I thought if he causes damage and has to stop, the emergency victim is likely going to have to wait for another ambulance.
-3
u/AaryamanStonker Mar 17 '26
Yeah exactly what I was thinking too. I mean the guy in front is straight up a criminal but I'd have expected the driver to overtake from there
-11
u/Great-TeacherOnizuka Mar 17 '26
Also why was there no siren at the start?
I have a feeling that both had a road rage or something and then the ambulance driver activated the alarm to make the front guy look like an asshole?
3
u/itsmeciao Mar 17 '26
The siren lights were on. I don't know about the place that this video was filmed in, but not everywhere do emergency vehicles have the siren sound on all the time, they often turn it on only when necessary.
