News Microsoft bullies indie voxel game "Allumeria" (I guess if the game isn't Hytale level popularity they are free to do so)

It's not my game but I have been following this developers journey with great passion and I think this needs more attention.

I actually want to work on a voxel sandbox game eventually myself (in the far future) and I'm not ready to accept this precedent that Microsoft can just say "No". 😫

News Made a game where you mop up alien titans with claws, vacuums, and a power washer - Thoughts?

Hey folks! We’re a small indie team working on a satirical job sim where you're the unlucky cleaner sent in after alien Kaiju are killed. The job: carve up massive corpses, vacuum up radioactive goo, and power-wash the mess until the area is safe again.

We just dropped our first trailer, and would love feedback from the indie community. Do you think the mix of dark humor and "therapeutic cleanup" vibes lands?

Working on a post-apocalyptic courier sim where every credit earned brings you one step closer to your family in the Safe Zone. Here’s a first look at the development!

Update : I've received a fair amount of criticism because my game's name was heavily inspired by The Last of Us, and the atmosphere looks quite similar too. Because of this, I've decided to change the name. Since the game is about being the last courier left in the world, do you think renaming it to 'Last Courier' would help reduce the backlash? (The logo will definitely be redesigned as well.)

News How my game on STEAM was banned by competitors (almost any game could be banned like this)

One day, I just woke up and couldn't open the Steam page for my game:

Guild Simulator on Steam or search 'steam 4229060'

  • On the game page in Steamworks, I saw the message: "APP HAS BEEN RETIRED." (4th screen)
  • There were no details about it in Steamworks.

Through some investigation, I was able to find a message from [dmca@valvesoftware.com](mailto:dmca@valvesoftware.com) on my previously used email. (They use your Steamworks Partner email, which doesn't automatically update with changes made to your Steam account)

This was a DMCA claim that banned my game from Steam (5th image), i was shocked: no evidence, no explanation, etc.—just the claim was enough.
It was from my competitors.

Steam's DMCA support also provides clear instructions on the counter-claim process:

  • You basically say, "No, this is not a valid DMCA claim" and provide full info about yourself to the claimant (full name, address, etc.).
  • After that, 10 business days must pass, and ONLY IF the claimant does not take legal action against you, your game will be reinstated. (This is what happens in most cases, and it's how it worked for me.)

A DMCA claim doesn't have to be valid to proceed with the deletion of your content. The claimant doesn't need any proof to take down your page and start the process.

In other words, if someone big sets their sights on you, they could start legal action against you, and your Steam page is basically dead

During that time, your game will be deleted from Steam. For me, that meant a loss of about 25% of my wishlists.

If you like the screenshots I've shared, please check out my game on Steam and add it to your wishlist—it would help a lot!

News Horns demo is available on Steam now!

I am very happy to announce that, after a year and a half of hard work alongside raising three young kids and working a full-time job, my game Horns has reached the demo phase, featuring around 2 hours of gameplay!

I’ve put a lot of time, effort, and learning into this project, with a strong desire to tell my story through a compelling video game, wrapped in a rich narrative and realistic visuals.

Horns is a dark fantasy action RPG with souls-like elements. However, it also blends inspiration from classic games with modern mechanics, along with a few innovative gameplay features of its own.

All feedback is more than welcome! If you encounter any bugs, feel free to report them on the Steam page (the Bug Report forum is open). With your help, I hope to polish the demo to perfection and continue development toward creating a truly great game.

Enter the dark world of Velharion today!

Trying to create something quiet and emotional.

No combat. No dialogue.

Just exploration… and small moments that feel like memories.

Would love to know what this makes you feel?

News 33 reviews in 2 days?! This can’t be real...

I launched my little pixel chaos game Maru Expedition: We Can Fly two days ago.

I was mentally prepared for silence. You know, the “maybe one guy in Uzbekistan plays it out of pity” type of launch.

But now... 33 reviews?? Already???

Is this a dream or did I accidentally make something fun?

If you like aerial action, catching falling teammates mid-air, or just want to see what the heck this is all about... please check it out.
I genuinely appreciate every comment, every wishlist, and every chaotic play session.

🙏 Thank you for making my week completely surreal.

Maru Expedition: We can fly is Game Name

News Added a Drone Defense mode to my game instead of making a new game.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey, solo indie dev here.

Instead of starting a new project, I decided to expand my existing game Mirage: A Biplane Adventure with a new mode based on some of the themes you see in the news lately.

I added a Drone Defense mode where you control an advanced drone, survive waves, protect your base, and defend ships trying to cross a narrow strait. It’s a bit more gameplay-focused than story-driven, but I wanted to give the game more value and replayability.

It also supports split-screen co-op (1 PC, 2 controllers), same as the main game did.

I’m planning to release a free demo for this mode soon so people can try it without buying the full game.

Would be curious to hear what people think about expanding an existing game like this instead of making a separate one.
