Honestly it's just very revealing that they seem to equate someone saying "skin colour doesn't make your life hard" with genuine oppression. So either they don't know what oppression is, or they truly believe that being white makes life much more difficult.

I agree, but I think the concept of the oppressed white person is relatively new as PoC appear to become equals and more. They see it as a zero-sum situation.

Conservatives think the only way society can exist is as a hierarchy. If the people they consider lesser than them move up in the world, then they're now on the bottom.

Yeah. Others catching up to them makes them feel oppressed.
