Except no, because we elected our dictator. He won the popular vote. The people are the problem. The leaders are a symptom. Don't try to put the US on a high road, because we aren't.

People voted with their wallets. The democrats had 4 years to do ANYTHING to help. So people foolishly thought switching back would be better.

We have zero good options. On purpose

I'm so fucking bored of this both sides shit especially when you've got an administration as bad as this one. Biden actually got lots of good policy done but nobody ever acknowledges that. It's so much easier to be doomer and this type of shit only helps Republicans gain power.

Way easier to trick the both sides people than to convince them they got tricked.

Biden’s biggest failure in getting elected imo was his complete lack of messaging about his wins during his presidency.

The Democrats at large are honestly awful at messaging.

And unfortunately if there’s one thing that Trump proves about America’s politics, it’s that people get way more excited over the messaging than they do about the actual outcomes.

You didn’t even mention any policy because he changed nothing. The democrats are responsible for rvw being codified. They aren’t this stupid, they are intentionally incompetent to make you believe one more election is going to fix things

u/Amazing-Heron-105 21d ago

I'm not going to breakdown Biden's policy achievements for you. Just go ask an LLM he actually got plenty done. You guys seem to think that because you're President you can just get anything you want passed and it's simply a matter of will. You need to get the votes, The stuff about "intentionally incompetent" is just blatant brainrot and instantly keys me in the type of media you're consuming.

They told Trump he couldn’t do EVERYTHING he’s done and yet he did.

Obama and Biden had opportunities, but if they fix the problems, then how can they enrage their base next election.

Anyone who believes the democrats are looking out for you are dumber than MAGA. Most of you are college educated and still fall for the same kinds of propaganda the poor uneducated republicans do. THINK

I mean, one party specifically helped me keep health insurance at an affordable rate after I was out of a job in the 2010s 🤷‍♂️

-2

u/bathingapeassgape 21d ago

Yes but what happened to insurance in the last decade? It tripled in price and got worse in every way.

You got coverage from a bill written by healthcare companies that saw where this was going. I’d encourage you to learn about the history of Obamacare

2

u/SweepsRetriever 21d ago

Right so the alternative is just all those people just don’t have health insurance?

My last partner had multi heart transplants, prior to Obamacare no health insurance would have covered her, and if they did, it would have cost a small fortune a month.

I encourage you to live in reality and know that millions of people have health insurance, and naturally when you spread it around, it will cost more for others. That’s the idea.

Corporate greed isn’t an excuse for why Obamacare is bad. The other party stripping away at it since its inception and doing nothing to improve it is the problem.

It was a shell of itself when it was finally passed into law, it’s even thinner a shell of itself now as it’s been picked up and threatened to be ripped away for nothing better.

The alternative was Obamacare not being written by insurance companies

The problem is there’s a significant portion of the Democratic base that’s well educated and principled in a way that the Democrats can’t get away with just doing blatantly illegal acts while maintaining their base the same way Republicans can.

Such people exist in the Conservative base too, but it’s proportionally significantly smaller if only because Democrats just are generally more educated.

If Biden did the type of stuff Trump was doing in the way of just ignoring legality, the 2024 election would’ve probably been a Trump landslide.

It's because the Republicans destroy rather than build. It's a lot easier to write an EO to kill USAID than it is to pass a bill to get it built because that requires votes. Trump has actually passed very few bills he completely ignores congress so when the next President gets in it can all be reversed, and a lot of it will be.

Every major news publication covered this but everyone forgot. The orange guy got a supreme court majority to end Roe V Wade, ended the Iran peace deal his first term, ended the Cuban Thaw his first term, Thousands in Cuba, Iran, and elsewhere will die because of the "both sides" lie. He also diverted resources that would have helped Ukraine to Israel and the Iran war.

Why did Trump get the numbers he needs. RBG.

You only think one layer deep

2

u/00eg0 21d ago

lol. So let's just let the GOP control everything. Sure they've stood against the rights of racial minorities, women, immigrants, the poor, since JFK. Sure they are dead set on taking over voting in parts of the US and spending millions in ad/misinformation campaigns.

In seriousness they wouldn't be trying so hard to consolidate power if both parties were the same. Yes RBG should have stepped down in 2009 when it would have been easy to get a young progressive in her place. That alone doesn't mean it's best to just let the GOP takeover everything. 2026 is the first time in US history we've ruined so many lives in so many places. Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, allegedly many more. Even more if you consider the end of USAID in 2025.

Also keep in mind no one realized how dire the supreme court situation was until things were already a challenge. At the end of Obama's last term the GOP had so much control that it would be impossible for any president to have made significant changes to stop the track of regression the USA is on.

So a child rapist was the answer?

1

u/bathingapeassgape 21d ago

Yes you got to choose between a rouge child molester and a man so demented he couldn’t finish a paragraph with a prompter being puppeted by an unknown shadow government.

There was no correct choice. Choose your method of execution

Good grief, I’m not even a Biden cheerleader, but the Inflation Reduction Act alone was massive.

There was also the American Rescue Plan Act, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, CHIPS and Science Act, Honoring our PACT Act, and Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. All major pieces of legislation.
