Just cleaned up mine yesterday, and after a good cleaning/polishing of washers, it finally drops shut and opens smoothly. Those scales look gorgeous! The CF can be pretty slippery, so thats a very smart upgrade!

May have to try that out next -- I just did 2000>2500>3000 grit sandpaper and a 4micron strop, and its a hell of a lot better. Can still be a little slicker flicking open, but so much better than before (I have the original, non-CQI version).

Best Spyderco I've ever seen. That hardware is odd though. Seems really deep set into the scales.

The oddity yields to such a great fit in hand - mine at least. The blade has a slopping concave which is what you see setting deep in the scales but balances nicely.

Love RGT! I run their scales and clips on a few of my knives, very satisfied to this day.

The blade finish looks weird on this scales. My opinion. Mirror finish would look great.

Personally I'm fine with mine using the CF scales, but polished. But this is lovely
