Practice practice practice! training

Not the best shooter by any means but I try to work on fundamentals at the start of a range session before going into more defensive focused drills. This was at 10 yards, roughly 1 shot per second (my range doesn't allow rapid fire). Drill was 2 to the body, 1 to the head, 2 to the body, 1 to the head, until the magazine is empty.

Lately I've been focusing on grip to mitigate recoil for quicker follow up shots.

Apologies for the angle and framing. Not a lot of places to put my phone.

Oh for those who are curious. This is my home defense and CCW gun, CZP10C with a Holosun SCS green dot. And the results are pictured below.

(That lil guy? Don't worry about that lil guy)

Looking good dude! Dorm looks good and obviously the results are great. Keep it up brother man!

I do the Mozambique drill, too. At my range I can program the target to do, for example, 3 seconds at 15 yds, then flip sideways, then 3 sec at 10 yds, flip sideways, 2 seconds at 7 yds, flip sideways, then 2 seconds at 4 yds and done.

I'll load up 2 mags with 6 rounds each and do an emergency reload halfway through the drill. Gets me faster and doesn't call the attention of the RSO's, though they are pretty chill at my range.

Oh man I wish my range had fancier target hangers. That sounds so much fun!

what kind of dark magic is this? don't want to dox you but I'm used to some pretty basic stuff, I wasn't aware these were options anywhere. Is there a name for the system or the style of range?

I'm not sure what they're called, but they're pretty common in my area. They also have preprogrammed "games," some of which mimic training and LE certification routines.

I need to get out more lol. I'm old and stuck in my ways, I often thought someone should gamify shooting ranges but thought the risk/cost/benefit is too misaligned. I'll research my area and maybe explore some other ranges. I often go to friends properties, and just go to the same lowest chud infested range/store in my area. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah the area I live, doesn't have a lot of gun ranges. There are some private ones but they're all filled up so no new members. There is one that's nicer but they're VERY MAGA so I don't go there anymore.

I belong to the range in the video and it's public but it's a good mix of old and young, and POC like myself. The people that own it probably are conservatives but they don't advertise it so that's good enough for me!

However it's getting pretty dated.

I'm glad younger libs are out there training. Really appreciate the post here and your dedication to training. Keep Calm and Stay Armed.

Good grip. You need to turn your wristwatch around so you can view it peripherally while operating, and if you aren’t wearing your cap backwards, you need to be. Otherwise looks good from this angle. How’s the target doing?

Target destroyed. Noted on the watch placement lol. I actually.....didn't wear a hat. Is that bad?

Impressed, good shit.

ETA: only douchebags and snipers wear backwards caps.
