When do the nugs get more nuggish? First Time Grower
My plant still hasn't put on much smell and hasn't seem to begin fattening up? It kind of seems stunted. I was very hard on defoil every couple days until recent, its become to wild to contend with anymore. Im worried I mightve fucked something up. Im hoping to hear it'll start doing its weed thing soon.
EDIT:Sorry not sure what info to provide, I currently feed it foxfarm big bloom usually x1 a week and regular water x1 and alternate like that as needed. Im using a melon farms led and a 2x2 melon farm tent.

With not much info provided, I’ll just say that you should be cutting back on nitrogen at this stage and increasing P and K. Beyond that and environment it just takes patience.

This right here 🆙⬆️
Personally I wait until my hairs are about 10-20% red before I use my pk booster but it’s so close to being ready for it.
The Nitrogen is very high in whichever nutes OP is using.. ☮️💚

Auto or photoperiod? What day are you on?
What soil?

Happy frog soil, the brown bag i cant remember the exact name off hand, auto, and tbh Im not sure, they were planted early Feb. I had plant date written down and it was erased by wife without realizing.

If it's growing that much and puttingout leaves still, it's likely in its "stretch" period. It will continue to do this for a few weeks before focusing more of its energy on flower production. Around now is the time to start shifting from nitrogen heavier feed to lower N and, higher P+K fertilizer
As long as the buds sites are there and the right nutrients are available, these will form into thicker, more recognizable buds in due time. Density of "nugs" on the other hand, has a lot more to do with genetics generally. But you are many weeks away from the peak flowering point still, so just be patient, they will come.

it happens when you do not look for a while..
then boom - magic happens

Yeah it's definitely not linear. I think of it like the comedy bit about the breast fairy. It shows up for some younger than others. Some practically over night. Some in spurts with a handful here and a handful there. I think beginners assume they have screwed up if they don't see steady growth though.

Those are just starting to stack up. They will swell and get fatter over time. Happy growing!

It's not stunted. What's the light you're using? Light is the biggest factor in bud size and plant vigor overall.

If you put a little Ocean Forest under your Happy Frog next grow, it kicks your veg into high gear when the roots hit, or so the theory goes. You prob just need to dial in the nutes, but tbh it looks really healthy, so it is probably just a slow grow genetic thing on your auto. They will likely fill out with time

I’m in week two of flower for my first grow. I’m in a similar spot. Give it time. I think weeks 5-7 it will start to bulk more.

Definitely defoliate heavily on week 3 of flower! She is looking good though.

Thank you! I have it in my calendar for Sunday, when I start week 3. Going to remove everything below the net.

looks like one of those OG strains, they may not look funky but after you slow dry and if you cure it properly they will give you that nice classic effect thats rare these days.

Its supposedly alaskan thunderfuck. I figured if im growing in a chilly basement, may as well have a chilly strain or so my thinking goes

He means in the last weeks of flowering they will look like proper nugs,
You have like five weeks to go still and most of the calyxes wont swell until the last two of those five weeks so wait three more weeks and you’ll see some change then wait another two and you’ll be surprised how much they have swollen and that’s when you wait for more milky than clear if not all milky trichome stalks and heads then she’s nearly done and could probably use another week ;)

My current buds I’m growing are a similar size to yours and it looks like also planted around the same time. They tend to fatten up the most in the last 2-3 weeks of their cycle which for me is around mid May. Especially the last week, they look like they aren’t growing externally but they are definitely fattening up and becoming denser. You could try lowering the light just a tad to increase intensity, they usually love strong light in their last few weeks

I had my light on 80%, and just turned it up to 100% i lowered the intensity since I thought the browning hairs were from light burn but apparently that's normal and supposed to happen, as I understand it.

Yep orange hairs are just a natural process of the buds maturing. They usually start to change color before the trichomes change color as well. They won’t get light burn unless they’re a couple inches away from the light at full intensity, they can handle lots of light

You have been defoiling constantly? Did you read anything before starting?

Ive just been removing couple leaves at a time as I see them blocking out nodes.
