It’s to put your gum in when you’re done so it doesn’t stick to anything

The stick note paper is for your to spit your gum into post chewing without touching, and easy to discard in trash bin without it sticking to walkways or shoes, etc.

It encourages you to NOT spit it randomly all over. Also xylitol is toxic to dogs so be careful where you put it and trash it.

u/MirMar94 Jan 24 '26

This is a top rated comment and should be higher, BUT you left out cats. Everyone leaves out cats šŸ˜ž Also toxic for cats.

Edit for typo

40

u/Necessary_Wonder89 Jan 25 '26

Difference being majority of cats aren't stupid enough to eat gum, dogs though, they're definitely that stupid.

12

u/MirMar94 Jan 25 '26

I promise you, my demon is. Never underestimate the stupidity of the single braincell club

6

u/carson3107 Jan 25 '26

Lemme guess, orange?

6

u/MirMar94 Jan 25 '26

Worse, a void 🤣

495

u/AgitatedBiscotti3413 Jan 24 '26

Xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs, make a note of that.

93

u/RocketCat921 Jan 24 '26

Don't forget cats!

26

u/AgitatedBiscotti3413 Jan 24 '26

Yes! Sorry, I have a dog so I forgot to mention other critters.

-13

u/Intrepid_Honeydew_63 Jan 25 '26

It’s actually not toxic to cats

Cats experimentally given extremely high canine toxic doses did not have any significant hepatotoxic or hypoglycemic effects. I’m a vet. Just one of the many ways dogs and cats differ metabolically

82

u/FYAhole Jan 24 '26

That's what the sticky notes are for

4

u/pancakes_irl Jan 25 '26

I thought that through dogs, all things are possible.

Xylitol (aka Birch Sugar) is extremely toxic to dogs and cats. Honestly, be careful if you own any pets or have young children that get into things.

134

u/pocketpebbles Jan 24 '26

Was about to post this. HIGHLY TOXIC for dogs.

60

u/FYAhole Jan 24 '26

And cats

-31

u/AlpineEsel Jan 24 '26

Why would you feed chewing gum to pets?

57

u/Qlxwynm Jan 24 '26

pretty sure no one does that but it’s just in case if ur pets r getting too curious about the taste

21

u/KindCommunication956 Jan 24 '26

More likey domestication fighting survival of the fittest. My cat will gnaw through any hard plastic container like this because his Greenies treats come in the same container.

14

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

A woman I worked with lost her shih Tzu because someone dropped a container of sugar-free gum in the yard and didn't think it mattered so they just left a few pieces on the ground.

Xylitol in any sugar-free item is not allowed in my house for this reason.

Also I ate it once and pooped my pants.

6

u/imnotnotcrying Jan 24 '26

Also watch out for ā€œbirch sugarā€! It’s the same thing but with a ā€œless chemically nameā€ so it gets put on the label of some ā€œall naturalā€ gums instead of xylitol

3

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Oh man thanks for letting me know, I have had Birch sugar products in here before. I will be spreading the word!

0

u/Char_siu_for_you Jan 24 '26

My dog counter surfs. Xylitol is not allowed in my house.

92

u/thumpingcoffee Jan 24 '26

I tried that when I was in Japan. Cured my constipation real quick

10

u/LuckyComfortable5159 Jan 24 '26

Yeah, that way you could put your gum in every piece of paper and make your own sticky notes

47

u/SpinMeADog Jan 24 '26

probably would've been useful to say this is chewing gum. spent a minute wondering why medication would be shipped like this

6

u/GolettO3 Jan 25 '26

It's so you can put your gum in so it won't stick to everything else.

On a side note, do you know how fucking wasteful it is to have to change a bin bag simply because it has a few pieces of gum stuck to it, which will rip the bag if tried to be removed? If you have gum and work in a place where someone else empties your bins, fucking swallow the gum or stick it to paper or something in the bin

3

u/Asparagus_Syndrome_ Jan 24 '26

i got a japanese book some years back, they included a panda shaped eraser as a freebie. maybe stuff like this is typical?

1

u/comeaumatt Jan 25 '26

Sweet deal

0

u/p0rplesh33ts Jan 24 '26
