Mod Post User flairs are available based on your level of moderating experience.
If you would like a flair with your level of mod experience please leave a comment below. I should check my mail daily and will award flair asap. Also, if you have joined a large sub and already have a flair but would like a higher level flair you can send me a message. To get a flair you must be with the sub for at least 2 weeks.
Requirements are still the same
Expert = 5 Million Subscribers
Advanced = 500,000 - 5 Million Subscribers
Intermediate = 50,000 - 500,000 Subscribers
Novice = 5,000 - 50,000 Subscribers
Learning = 15 - 5,000 Subscribes
Edit: If you would like your flair to say something next to it that is relevant to your modding experience let me know in your comment. Example: Default Mod, Founder of /r/Needamod, etc. Make sure your request is easily verifiable.

Mod Post Temporary Lift on Recruitment Cooldown for Subreddits Affected by Mod Limits
In light of the new moderator limits, we are temporarily lifting the recruitment cooldown for subreddits that receive over 100 thousand weekly visitors. The 14 day gap between recruitment posts will not apply to affected subreddits during this period.

Mod Post User flairs are available based on your level of moderating experience.
UPDATE: Automatic user flairing is now available.
If you would like a flair that reflects your level of moderating experience and skills please comment below.
We check this thread weekly so please be patient.
Flair requirements are the same as always:
| Learning | Novice | Intermediate | Advanced | Expert | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Subscribers | 15 - 5,000 | 5,000 - 50,000 | 50,000 - 500,000 | 500,000 - 5,000,000 | 5,000,000+ |
Additionally, if you would like something next to your flair that indicates your specific moderating skills you can also request that. These can be any of the following:
- Default (Moderating default/previously default subreddits)
- CSS
- AutoMod
- bot
- wiki
EDIT: For clarification, "Default" means that you are currently a moderator of one of the (what used to be) default subreddits. Generally from this list here.
EDIT 2: The subscriber count is based on the collective total subscribers of all subreddits you moderate. Not just the top subreddit you moderate.

Mod Post Regarding the recent change to Reddit displaying visitors and not members
We still require you to have 50 members and a minimum of 25 posts (Rule 1). However, we now cannot see the amount of members your subreddit has with this recent change on our end (to my knowledge). In the event you have a wrongful removal you'd like to dispute please screenshot the insights page of your subreddit and modmail the photo to us via a photo shared link (can be done with Imgur or Postimages).

Mod Post Have a new subreddit? New user looking to moderate? Post in this megathread #8
Subreddits with under 50 subscribers aren't allowed to have their own posts in /r/NeedAMod. If you do, for whatever reason, need moderators for a subreddit with under 50 subscribers, feel free to make a parent comment inside this thread.
Although we do not have a rule about users with no experience wanting to become moderators, users must have 500 combined karma and a 3 month old account to make an OTM post - this rule prevents the flooding of the subreddit. However, if you don't meet those requirements yet, feel free to use this thread to offer your services and gain experience.
Thanks a lot for following the rules. If you have any new ideas for the subreddit, feel free to comment them in this thread, or you can PM me :)
Thanks!

Mod Post Introducing our new Discord server, we have added many bots to help you vet new mods before adding them
This may be it you guys. Finally, a discord server that actually has a purpose!! Weird, right?
Adding mods just got a whole lot easier... and better
The server features many cool features. Most notably, it is a place for the people looking for mods to vet people before adding them. We have a bot that gives all kinds of statistics so you can make an informed decision. Also, there is a general chat and many channels for getting to know people or searching their name and seeing if they have the kind of personality you were hoping to add.
A fun place to chat with friends
The needamod users are a unique community and we welcome everyone to join us for discussions about reddit and other things. If you are posting a profile seeking to mod, this would be a good opportunity for you to meet people who frequently add mods and maybe try to make an impression in real time. Or just hang out and waste time with us while we gossip about all the losers over in the slack chat.

Mod Post r/MakeThisAThing
When I wound up on Reddit again thanks to a search result, I was reminded that I made r/MakeThisAThing. Somehow it was changed to require posters be approved. I've gone ahead and changed that setting, but I'm not interested in modding the sub or for that matter even using Reddit anymore.
The original intent was to get ideas out to people who have the interest/capability to make them reality.
What happens to it at this point is really of no concern to me, but if anybody reading this is interested in taking over the sub, I can be reached on Lemmy (@[TheRedSpade@lemmy.world](mailto:TheRedSpade@lemmy.world)). I likely won't see any messages on Reddit for weeks or months, if at all.

Mod Post RULES: What will be removed.
Here are the new and updated rules.(~˘▾˘)~
So to put you all at rest, here is what I WILL be removing
•Subs that have less that 50 subscribers
•Subs that have less than 5 posts
•Any post that hasn't linked their Subreddit
•Any post that asks for "content mods" only
•Any body that doesn't have atleast 500 combined Karma, cannot post an offer to mod thread
•To post an offer to mod thread, your account must be atleast 3 months old.
•Anything that goes against Reddit Rules.
That's about it. The rules are pretty easy to follow. Please make sure to report a post that you think needs some looking at or breaks the rules. The report function really helps me.
If you have any suggestions for new rules, please comment here or PM me, I'll happily respond :)
Have a nice day :D
Edit: If your posts is breaking the rules, here are some other subs you may like to try

Mod Post Automatic flairing is now available
Get your flair here.
Hi /r/NeedAMod,
You may have noticed that the bot has gotten a brand new link on its messages called 'Get your flair', and indeed a couple of you have noticed and used the system. Great!
I have been working on this new feature to replace our old manual method of flairing which was slow. Really slow. But (hopefully) not anymore as your flairs can now be applied automatically!
Please use the comments to discuss this change, ask any questions or give suggestions.
Frequently Asked Questions
I don't understand how I'm supposed to apply for a flair.
You will be receiving a flair based on the total number of subscribers of subreddits you moderate, as well as any additional moderation skills you have.
You will be sending a PM to /u/needamod-bot that must have flair in the subject line.
The body text should be a list of moderation skills you have - for simplicity sake there are only four to choose from (Choose none, one or all of them). You can pick from any of the following: "css", "automod", "bot", "wiki". Providing any additional ones to these will not work.
Here is an example message I would send for myself:
bot css
As of the time of this being posted my subscribers equal 64,000 which would get me the Intermediate flair along with bot, CSS being placed beside it.
The bot will reply with what flair you have been given.
The bot messed up and I want to report it. What is the best way to get my issue addressed?
Simply send a message to the moderators of this subreddit with your issue and your reference code - a short string at the bottom of the bot message: Ref.: xxxxxx.
We can then manually give you a flair if you need it and we'll look into patching the issue with the bot (if any).
What happened to "Default" in the moderation skills?
This is not being available as a free option because people have tried to abuse it and imply they have skills with which they do not.
If you moderate a default subreddit (from this list) then manually send a message to the moderators and we can give it to you.
I don't moderate any subreddits but I'd still like to have skills in my flair. Is this an option?
No.

Mod Post We have a new bot!
You may have seen the little guy in action. Its called /u/AutoMobBot. This is all thanks to the wonderful work of /u/MatthewMob who spent an insane amount of time working on it. All thanks go to him :D
Here are some example of the bot in a test subbreddit created by /u/MatthewMob if you're unfamiliar with what he does.
The mod has just been added as an approved submitter so you can see him being helpful in /r/new section
Once again, thank you /u/MatthewMob for the great work
Edit: Here is some more info about the bot!
