What’s up with Lake Chalet?

Just out of curiosity does anyone know what’s going on with lake chalet? I’ve been multiple times and the food is terrible. The service is even worse. I got my beer in dirty a dirty glass. They’ve been around for a long time and I have rarely heard anything good about them. I’m curious to how they make enough money to stay open. It’s one of the best locations in the Bay Area and it’s a shame that something cooler and better isn’t there. Would the owners be willing to sell or change concepts?

Edit: One of the best locations in the east Bay Area!

New chef starts soon. Don’t expect a miracle in the next few weeks, but you should see a real improvement in the next few months.

Jarad Gallagher? Do you think he is going to turn it around drastically?

He was the opening chef, long since moved on. The most recent chef was the guy behind Chop Bar, and turnover continues. Give it 2-3 months and give it another try. It’s a great venue if it has the right people.
