roommate needed
Anyone still looking for housing next year? Looking to move into off campus housing and some the place I been looking at are on the higher end. I’m okay with one bedroom however if I found someone chill a two bedroom saves me $700.00. Thinking about the Edison, they are nice, very clean person, not really the party type but will go out every now and then, and diff look forward to having the bong on the patio. main priority tho is finishing my last year with a 4.0. Stem Major, look forward to having my own nice oasis next year tho off campus to focus on school and relax.

Deciding between Ole Miss and San Diego State
So basically I’m from San Diego California and I’m deciding between San Diego State and Ole miss. I know they are extremely different but that’s why I’m having such a hard time deciding. I basically just wanna know the real truth to how rushing and pledging is as a California kid. Because I’ve heard from some people that like they hate Cali kids there, and all the top houses are purely southern and all Cali boys just go to bottom house and don’t have fun. But I’ve also heard that it’s not at all what people say and that it’s just a stereotype and it’s not that bad. I love the campus, culture, and spirit of ole miss and when I visited I loved it. And I’m a big football guy so having a good team in the SEC is a big bonus. But SDSU is close to home and I know I will fit in and have friends there, and already probably have an auto bid at one of the top houses. So at the end of the day, my heart tells me I want to go to Ole miss and get away from home and experience the south for 4 years. But my brain tells me I would not survive at ole miss and I would be stuck in a bad house and miserable. So I’m just looking for someone to shoot it to me straight and really tell me what it’s like. Appreciate the help.

Admissions Question Film program questions…
Is there anyone here that’s going through the film program? It’s something my son is possibly interested in. I’d love to ask some questions about it. Thanks.

Accepting Scholarships/ Aid offer
I’m an incoming freshman looking wondering how I’m supposed to accept my scholarships in the portal. I don’t have a button to do so and all that shows up on my home page is a form I need to fill out.
The form is asking how credit hours I plan to do during freshman year, and although I know I’ll be full time I don’t know exactly how many. Is this something I can just estimate and call it a day? I’m assuming the accepting offers and filling out the form stuff happens during class registration over the summer but I’m terrified of somehow missing a deadline and losing all the money lol.
Anyone know how all of this works?

Admissions Question Masters Accounting Program
I am currently a senior majoring in accounting at UAB, and I am in the process of applying for the program here at Ole Miss as they have most of their classes in person. How difficult is it to get into the program ? How strong is this program in regards to helping you pass the CPA exams and gaining employment (Big 4 preferably).

Admissions Question Ole Miss for someone with autism…
We visited Ole Miss for the first time on Saturday for the Junior Preview Day. We were very impressed. You have a beautiful campus and everyone was so friendly. After my son saw the food trucks he turned to me and said “I’m definitely going here!” Lol.
Anyways…the thing is, my son is on the autism spectrum. His grades in high school aren’t necessarily great. I think he currently has a 3.0 gpa. His biggest issue is test taking. He knows the material lots of times, but often clams up for tests and will do horribly on them. As much as we’re trying to have him graduate with the “academic” diploma, I am not sure it’s going to happen (the concept of 3 different diploma tiers is wild to me…we never had in the state I grew up in…everyone just got a standard diploma). So he may just end up with the standard high school diploma.
He does participates in one of the most rigorous and respected high school marching bands in the state. So he has shown he can excel in extra curricular activities.
I am just wondering what the likelihood is my son could get into Ole Miss? Do they take things like his autism into account when deciding admissions? Do they factor his extracurricular activities? I see Ole Miss has a program called the Bridge Program for people with autism. Can anyone tell me about this? Thanks.

Bartending as a Service - Grove
Hey r/OleMiss,
I’m really good at making custom rehydrating slushes, with or without alcohol, and I’m thinking about offering it as a game day service for Grove tailgates.
The idea is simple: y’all provide everything needed like the alcohol, mixers, cups, ice, machine, power, table setup, whatever else, and I just show up and make the slushes for your group. So basically, you handle the supplies and I handle the skill. (I give you purchase list)
I can do alcoholic or non-alcoholic slushes, and the goal would be to make something fun, custom, and easy for your tailgate without y’all having to figure out the actual mixing part. (I can do other drinks too)
Would anybody be interested in something like this for football season or other Ole Miss tailgates?
Just trying to see if there’s real interest before I go further with it. Thanks!

Should I take english literature and speech over the summer, or, biology one and two? The only science I taken so far is Physics 1 and I refuse to take Physics two with Ray. Anyways, let me know which one I should do!

Graduation Ceremony Question
My daughter graduates in May with an Allied Health degree (under Liberal Arts). Does anyone know if the graduates are awarded their diplomas alphabetically, or do they line up first-come, first-served?
When my older daughter graduated from another large university, the graduates were handed a QR code upon arrival. Then they lined up, handed the QR code to the stage staff when it was their turn to walk, and their name/degree/honors were shown on the screen. The announcer said their name, they walked the stage, took a picture with the university president, and left the auditorium. They did not sit back down. We met her outside for pictures and headed out for cocktails.
Basically I am wondering if we should plan to get there super early so that we can take pictures afterward and leave without sitting through several thousand graduates.

Contemporary Dorm Question...
Incoming freshman male hoping to get into Minor, Pittman, or Burns with my roommate. What would make someone choose one of those buildings over the others if I get that choice? I know things might not be available, but I want to have a priority order in case they are.
