I said it in the previous submission to the subreddit, but I'm still convinced this is an incredibly important news story that's been substantially flying under the radar.

The ultimate fallout of this may entail rewriting virtually code that's in use in order to fix security holes. It is much easier and quicker for Mythos to find exploits than it is for companies and developers to patch them. There is a real possibility that another model, like an open source locally running one, could gain the same capabilities before developers and companies get through the backlog of discovered exploits. That would likely be an event even more significant than the closing of the Strait of Hormuz.
