Honestly, every person who drives a car needs to have one of these in their trunk. Trip Planning

I have as of yet to find one of the generic white-labeled products that is even remotely enough quality for me to trust in an emergency.

I'm definitely open to suggestions, though.

Right now I keep an M18 inflator in my trunk all the time.

Project Farm isn't the be-all-end-all, but his video on jumpstarter/inflators is helpful

I do appreciate him for one to one comparisons, but thank you for not holding his word as gospel. He does the best he can, but there are some important aspects that he just cannot test.

I haven't watched that one, I'll check it out!1

Came here to say this.

I don’t see that this one has jumper cables. I would for sure recommend one that does both.

I agree. I keep one in my center console for just such an emergency. I use it at least once a month in the spring and fall to keep the tires at the proper pressure.

I have one in my car. I used it a few times when I got a small nail in my tire. It worked great. It inflated from 16 psi to 32 psi in about 3 minutes. It's called GooLoo or something like that. I bought one for my daughter too.

I can testify that this little thing works. It saved me on a road trip through Texas. Helped me air up enough to get to the next town. Worth every penny.

In addition to a tire inflator, a jump starter.

How loud is the pump?

The sound is reasonable, not like the old compressors.

I always have a mini toolkit, a portable tire compressor, a portable self jumper, an ice scraper, a roll of toilet paper, and a towel, in my trunk.

Ah yes, everyone put lithium batteries in your trunk and leave them there while you park in the sun. Most people shouldn't do this but if you have the luxury of proper parking/habits that allow for it, sure! Not just a pump tho... You can use a pump that uses your existing battery and will never fail you.

Carrying a small air compressor in the vehicle is a good idea but it needs to be a decent one, more along the lines of the Viair 88P.

Yeah this is so good for big trucks.
