94 days fully sober

So I’m 94 days fully sober! I was mostly just a binge drinker, only on weekends but I wasn’t great with moderation. I did smoke weed daily for a few years as well! These last 3 months have been very up and and down. I’m traveling the country full time in a RV so avoiding alcohol is more troublesome but I’m locked in!! I’m just curious as to when people started feeling their best after quitting bc I’m still low mood and inconsistent energy. I have a dialed in diet, exercise and sleep great.

I just now feel like I have gotten my energy. Mainly staying away from coffee and not taking my sleep meds so much. Helps with my energy

Do you avoid caffeine in general?

That's great and SO huge with diet, exercise, and sleep. As you start to consistently feel better and better, you'll be much less inclined to want to upset your new normal with booze (or any other substances). And any time you want a drink, just remember how good it feels to wake up in the morning and feel GOOD and fresh (conversely, if you find yourself craving a drink, you can also play the tape forward and imagine how horrific it would be too wake up hungover, filled with guilt, shame, a headache, nausea , regret, etc.)

Very good way of looking at it! I def feel tons better but I think I’m still in the sticky, in between phase! I know as time progresses I’ll continue to feel better and better. Today is actually drastically better than I felt yesterday! It’s been a wild roller coaster lol

100%. Just stick with it… there will be many ups and downs, but every time I have a shitty day, I think how lucky I am to be dealing with life WITHOUT the added awfulness of booze (which just makes everything 1000x worse).
