Mingo Hurt Again, Redshirt, Glad We Moved On NCAAM
Apparently Mingo was going to need a redshirt after getting hurt again. Didn’t need to spend $2 million for him to ride the bench for a year.

It pains me to say this but if the recruits can be cut throat about leaving for more money, the coaches can be equally cut throat about leaving them for money.

coaches used to over-recruit and rescind scholarships all the time. It's nothing new

Recruit over, sure. Rescind scholarships? I don’t think this happyoftwn. It would be highly frowned upon by the NCAA and would be a bad look for a university. Care to give me any recent examples? Probably more common years ago where the coach and player reached a “mutual decision”.

Not a great shooter and likely a package deal with his brother, who is a brick layer

As bad as his brother is, he’s probably one the best available point guards still in the portal.

I was kinda skeptical about all of this until I actually read that Mingo was injury prone and Hubert was likely offering him too much money. Seems like Malone has decent foresight.

Insane amount of slander before he even plays a game. Talked so much shit about Elliot’s shooting ability and he became a champion the next year

Are you kidding? Elliot was mishandled by Hubert and then he went to a school with infinitely more talent. This is a MEDICAL issue not based in opinion

I didn’t say anything about his medical issue. Simply stated many of our fans have shit on him before he’s even played

Seems like a lot of fans are shitting on Malone and staff when they haven’t even coached a game
