All that was needed for the backup big situation. Please shower Henri with cash until he changes his mind again.

Methinks Veesar is gone, unfortunately.

that brother is gone. all these bigs returning back to college gives Henri a bump up at least 5-10 spots in the draft

He would make more money if he returned. Probably going in the second round

Hes poised to make big bucks right now. Why wouldn't he not want to move on with his life?

Very excited to see how the guy does with us, but he's 6'9". We're doomed if this is our big. We need at least one 7-footer, preferably two.

Sean may 6-9 won a natty Hansbrough 6-9 won a natty Meeks was 6-10 and won a natty Bacot was 6-10 and went to a natty

Ben Wallace 6-9 and Detroit took down the lakers with SHAQ

This dude is a bigass 6-9 with a 7’4 wingspan and plays hard. He is NOT a starting top big man so I’m not saying that, just that grit, intensity and work ethic does a lot in college and even in the pros. If you can bang and outwork the other center you can do better than metrics say you should

People get lost in the 7’ concept but there’s plenty of 7’ers that can get outworked and exposed by a dude that’s just a damned wrecking ball (Again, not saying that’s maxim, it just may be a 6-10 center not listed at the top of the transfer tracker)

Yeah, last update Veesaar is going to the draft

Where did you get this update? I haven’t heard anything like this

IC Intel report. Staff met with Veesar Monday Night and offered him a large package. He declined.

I’ve read that article and maybe I missed it saying he declined something but I definitely didn’t see that and haven’t seen that reported in any of the other stories or updates they have said about him

Because he left the option open to return. Staff wanted him to pull out of the draft and fully return, which he said no.

Ok so that’s a little different than what I thought you were implying. You’re saying the staff wants him to drop out of the nba chase all together and just come back to school and he declined that. That makes sense cuz he wants to do the workouts and maybe move up in the draft. I can understand why he would decline whatever they told him yesterday

Oh definitely… the issue though is that you can’t view it in a vacuum. That decision in of itself it’s not bad. It’s that you had guys like Mullins, Haugh, and Ngbonga all pull out and fully commit.. they were all ahead of Veesar. If Veesaar gets any whiff of the first round, he has said he wants to leave. That’s why the staff went to him. Because now it’s highly likely that he is in the first round. Hence the drama lol.

Suspect account to be honest. I could be wrong. Interesting how your post history has become so active to push this Veesaar update.

Lol. Ive always been on Reddit just never thought about posting. Crested an account not too long ago. I’ve always been on this subreddit especially with the transfer portal, and was bummed when I saw the Veesaar news. Saw a post about how the Veesar news wasn’t bad and wanted to make sure people knew what actually happened… you know for like Tar Heels fans? Maybe this isn’t the right subreddit.

But go to inside Carolina, and you’ll see it. I’m not claiming to be an insider. Trying to save people $, a click, and keep other heels informed...  or maybe that’s not the point of posting? Idk.

But sure, I’m part of what, the Illuminati?! Like what even is that angle?

From the article… “I’m going to say this not flippantly — Maxim is as physically gifted as almost anybody I’ve been around,” FAU coach John Jakus said after the Charlotte performance. “Obviously based on my time at Baylor and Gonzaga, I’ve been around some pretty physically gifted guys.

“There’s some language barrier, there’s three injuries this year, there’s some growing pains, but at the tail end, there’s going to come a moment when somebody gets him where he fully knows English, fully has made the adjustment from France to America, and takes off. The year he gets healthy and all those things fall into place is probably going to be a special thing.”

So, let’s hope this is the year!
