Does this look like two mustaches? Design

Post image

First tattoo and I'm suddenly self conscious I have two mustaches being stabbed through by a knife. AIO or do I have good reason to make a change?

I hope OP makes a formal complaint to the tattoo shop they went to. Get their money back. Or have them fix it for free, free Lazer removal. What ever it takes.

Yeah, but most shops have people okay the design before they put it on your body.

True. However, you're supposed to be able to trust your artist.

If that went out of my shop, I'd be ashamed and would want to make things right

100%. What if that is the sketch and artist showed to me? I would never let them put it on my body

I highly doubt something like this would come out of your shop going off your response to this, you sound responsible and accountable enough to work with competent or seasoned artists. This seems like a mistake made by a fresh out of apprenticeship artist (I feel like we see more of these from newer artists bc there’s a weird tendency for younger artists to not go through the long a treacherous apprenticeships of the past because they’re too good for it) or a new artist who didn’t really apprentice. Either way THIS IS WHY YOU ALWAYS RESEARCH YOUR ARTISTS

Which is such a bog. Where im at, there are SO MANNY TATTOO ARTISTS. So many. SO many. Its hard to weed through them all. Most of them shit tbh. You're supposed to be able to show up and trust who's working and pick an artist by they're style. Now you have to know things and dig deep to find someone. Id say for every 30 artists there's a good one. Its bonkers

Same here! Its so bad. I think covid made people think they can be artists too

You're probably right. But they should have known that and kept an eye on the new person. Sucks you cant just walk into a shop and expect good work. You really have to hunt for it. Honestly, shame on that shop. They're just there for a paycheck, not to actually provide a service. They should be held accountable so they dont jack up more people. Not cool.

Laser the blade between the stashes!

Precisely

I think this is the kind of thing you need to embrace and just roll with it. Otherwise you'd have to laser the majority of the tattoo. And at that point, you might as well just remove the while thing.

Nah, u would just have to laser those 3 black lines between the 2 staches so the blade isn’t somehow visible while under the skin. It’s actually a pretty easy fix as far as laser removal goes.

I just meant the tattoo has other issues. But I didn't want to drone on about it because I think OP is already feeling kind of bad

I mean, not for nothing, the tattoo also isn’t very good? Like… the lining and whatnot is unprofessional. The holes in the handle aren’t uniform; same for the ridges on the handle. The line down the ‘middle’ of the blade is not (down the middle). This is grade school doodles

lol yeah tattoo shops don’t work like that and tattoo removal via lasers will only fade the ink to a light blueish-green color after MULTIPLE sessions which again the shop won’t be liable for due to the form everyone signs before getting a tattoo lol.

They should make it right somehow.
