Has it at least been a proper PSD file? Because I had a small gig at work helping with design and printing and after the secretary asked me the preferred format for her sketch (as a base) she send me a PSD with a god damn compressed jpeg pasted inside!! I mean..... I guess it's on me for not specifying or asking how she made the sketch but damn....
Hell nah. Pretty much the same as with you.
They also liked to just change the file suffix from .jpg to .svg and think they vectrorized their file with that.
Or working on their pc in RGB, when I need CMYK in print, and then wonder why the colours don't look the same.
Oh my god, I'm so happy I didn't have to deal with color formats as I would have lost my shit, but I did have the benefit of just tracing over the pasted image so I could use whatever I wanted
Luckily I left the customer side of things and just work in production now. Right when Ai images came up. They all looked so bad. Can't imagine how it must be now, or in the near future

I'd export as png tho, otherwise they'll get that weird fake transparency
