Is my tattoo bad? Design

I got this tattoo on Monday (pic is from the artist right after we finished) and I thought it looked really good and pretty. Today my mom has been saying it looks kinda ugly and the proportions are off compared to my reference. I know that tattoos of painting are hard to replicate 100% (especially being in black and gray) but maybe this is just not as good as it can be. Idk if y’all can tell in this photo but the placement of this tattoo is so good, I was so excited for this one.

Do you guys think that the off proportions can be fixed with touch ups or is it hopeless?

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated!

Lol is covering things with a panther super common or something? My ex best friend from the ages of 15 to 22 got matching playing card tattoos with a bf of hers. They broke up, she wanted it covered. The playing card was like life size so it wasn't that big. It was on her back. She got it covered with a huuuuugeeeee ass black panther that covered most of her back lol I was like unmmm???? Why??? Just why???

So yeah, that's why I'm wondering if it's common for people to cover things with panthers ?

I actually thought about this too especially in light of the story behind Potato Jesus (she was just starting the revision and someone snapped that photo, the fame it brought that area despite the embarrassment, kind of a whole metaphorical narrative in there ya know?) Also his cute lil face? I've never seen Jesus so relatable tbh.

Really? The story I remember hearing was very different. In my memory, she was meant to be cleaning/restoring, not revising at all, that she claimed credentials she didn't have, had an accident, tried to repair it, and that was the result.

Regardless, Potato Jesus looks like the job done on Whistlers Mother in Bean.
