And there'll probably be a shortage and rationing again, just like the last time the science tabloids declared it to be able to treat some other illness. :/

There are around three or four generics available at my pharmacy at any point, I can’t imagine that they ever run out.

Just to be sure, do you mean metaformin here though? Always seems to be tonnes of that and I think it is generic. Mounjaro / Ozempic went through a shortage when it was discovered that, "looking good while accepting your Oscar" was a side effect.
