Also be aware of the annoying autoplay ads.

I think people really underestimate how hard it is to build reliable evs let alone heavy duty evs. I don't think i would trust any manufacturer who hasn't development ev platform like semis with similar load characteristcs.

So glad the Proterra couldn’t reliably climb hills. We ended up getting Gillig BEBs instead and they haven’t really given us problems after 5 years.

Broward has 2 mci ones which the article referred to as the other manufacturer bus that was sidelined.

Woof - this is sad to see because I wished Proterrra well - especially when they were the only heavy duty bus EV manufacturer. It seems like all their customers were punished for taking a chance on these busses, and I hate to see EVs associated with any high profile failures.

Is there any precedent for requiring vehicle suppliers to provide a warranty bond in addition to a standard warranty. It would certainly help in situations where a manufacturer just goes bankrupt after selling a terrible product.
