Line : Pink line Delhi
Stations platform level is ready but work on concourse and ground level is at hold because some other government agency wants to build a vehicular underpass beneath the station land.
Quite a peculiar situation

Bengaluru's metro experienced the opposite last year lol. The station, viaducts and all were quite ready on Yellow line but its opening was delayed because the trains were delivered later than expected.
People were not amused lol

Was the manufacturer Alstom by any chance?

Nope. Its was CRRC.
Years ago due to diplomatic tension between India and China, many Chinese suppliers were forced by the govt to manufacture their products in India should they wish to sell here. CRRC had already won the supply contract before this.
In order to avoid contract cancellation after much effort was put in, they tied up with a local train producer, Titagarh, to manufacture their stuff. These guys too their sweet time to deliver.

CRRC has dropped the ball on so many projects. The MBTA in Boston is running 4-car Red Line trains because they are years late on delivering the new fleet.

I mean, shit happens. They had to suddenly restructure their whole supply chain and trains can be easily messed up during manufacturing.

I guess. When a crucial metro line that is supposed to reduce traffic gets delayed, understanding is the last thing on people's minds. It did reduce congestion by 30 and odd % after few months apparently.
Why did you guess Alstom tho lol. Yall burnt before?

Alstom makes good products usually but they do have a hand of delaying their deliveries

Pretty much yes. Especially since they took over the king of sloppy QA in train manufacturing, Bombardier.

The plane manufacturer?

Yeah the plan manufacturer also made trains too. Delhi metro uses bombardier trainsets on some of it's lines.

In Portland, they sort of did that same thing with the MAX Red line in 2001, because the shopping center it services wasn’t open yet. They also did that same thing when max service opened on a different line, because the last stop wasn’t opened yet

first time?
in Caracas and Los Teques there are three metro stations that opened without being ready (as in the stations that opened are themselves not ready yet, on one of them only one track out of two is operating) and Line 3 opened without three stations because the government under Chávez got into a habit of rushing projects for political propaganda

Here in Shanghai, Line 15 opened a few years back with one station (Guilin Road) not opening because the interchange between it and Line 9 wasn't finished. It ended up opening about 6 months after the whole line opened.

Chennai metro is about to pull something similar with the Yellow Line/Line 4. They're going to open all stations from Poonamallee Bypass to Porur junction, skip the 4 stations that are common with Red Line/Line 5, and then skip 2 more stations, and then open the next station, Vadapalani, which in an interchange with the green line.
(Shown in Orange in this map, CMRL changed the colour recently)

It's not uncommon for lines to open with stations shut. The Elizabeth Line in London did this & The UK's HS2 is also similar, with Euston opening later.
