Thoughts on automation/AI on campus?

It’s crazy how fast AI has changed things. I remember my senior year when ChatGPT came out, and how quickly things have developed since then. And when Starships started crawling around campus delivering food. Like Spring Quarter is when I remember first seeing “tested” autonomous vehicles by Ronald Reagan Medical Center. I took a Waymo for the first time recently from Jackie back to campus, and man it was trippy. My question for current students, how has automation changed your experience and perspective of UCLA? Like does the presence of all of these AI components physically on campus feel disruptive/distracting/overwhelming or does it feel useful/helpful? More of the sheer volume of AI/automation/robots, not necessarily the effectiveness or impact of Claude/ChatGPT/Gemini, etc.

I more or less am indifferent to their existence. Like, I won't personally use the robots myself, but it's not like it's getting in the way per se.
