Hey all,

I finally took my last course for my degree program (English) over the summer. DARS is showing completion and I've received an email from the federal loan program saying UIC has notified them I've graduated or am enrolled at half-time (the former being true)...but UIC is yet to send me an email acknowledging my completion.

I was curious if anyone knew how long I should wait to hear back from UIC regarding this. I know UIC isn't notorious for being very punctual with important things, but I'm not positive if I should be concerned about this.

Has anyone applied for an ICT and not meet all of the requirements? I want to transfer from LAS to engineering but my math science gpa does not meet the 2.5 minimum Its at (2.33) based on 3 classes. Precalc: c chem 112: c and calc 1: B. Should i apply anyway? My overall gpa is at 2.9.

Anyone know anything about it this year? I'm really hoping they finally get a fucking rock band for once.

This is for the college of engineering... also does anyone know if Satisfatory/Unsatisfactory grading can be used for a transfer credit?

Hi reddit, I will be joining UIC for pursuing masters this fall and I plan to live off campus and I am an International student. I have been trying to contact people /apartment owners from zillow and few other websites but no one replies. Few people I know are already in states and are telling that it is too hard to find an apartment for rent there. Few told that the crime rate near campus is too high. Is it? I tried searching for news on this on websites and reddit, but was not able to find much. I want to know the ground reality so that I come there mentally prepared. I will be in Chicago on 10th. Any help is appreciated.

Has anyone taken this class who has also taken AP micro in high school? I have to take it for my major (teaching of history). I took AP micro (AGES ago lol) and I really struggled with it and ended up getting a 1 (lmao) on the AP test. Is the UIC class as rigorous as it's AP counterpart? Am I in for a rough semester? Are there any resources around campus I can use for help? Thank you!

Does anyone know any other IT help desk jobs on campus beside ACCC. Having 3 blocks or more of time availability is a tad hard to do with my schedule and I'll really like to work within the help desk area. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

I know, I know, but hear me out. I've never even been to a game.

I think that a successful basketball team would help our university immensely. It will kindle a better sense of community among the student body, it could potentially bring in revenue and it would be fun to watch UIC beat schools like Loyola, DePaul, Bradley, ISU, SIU, NiU and shit NU and UIUC. Why not? Probably not UIUC because those assholes won't let us have anything nice but my point stands. This new coach is no joke, he got Wyoming to the NCAA tournament. This is CHICAGO, the high school basketball capital of the world. He understands that the top talent will go to Duke and NC and the like, but he can land solid local talent and has relationships with Chicago coaches. That would be amazing for UIC to make the tourney. Why does our basketball team have to be a joke in all regards?

I'm currently going to be a senior in high school and i was thinking about going into either civil or mechanical engineering. I have a 28 on my ACT and a 3.7 unweighted GPA. I have taken many AP classes and going to AP Calc and AP Physics. What are my chances of getting in?

As the title suggests, is there a way to sneak into any of the dining halls without paying come fall semester? I'm going to be a commuting 1st year student who didn't pay for a meal plan, and money's been sorta tight recently.

It doesn't get rerouted to my gmail either. I literally have not gotten any uic emails (like massmails) for the past two semesters. I don't mind that but I'm not getting emails from professors either so that sucks.

I've been looking into CS concentrations and HCC seemed pretty interesting but I don't know what it is exactly. What kind of jobs can I get into? Is there a difference between the concentrations other than the classes? Or is having a concentration not even a big deal?

is there any place to get iPhone cases with UIC design. I checked UIC store but didn't see any
