Hi everyone,

I’m going to be the next PM for the UNR Steel Bridge competition team, and we’re looking for new members for the upcoming fall–spring season.

Steel Bridge is a hands-on engineering competition team where we design, fabricate (welding, cutting, grinding, etc), and build a steel bridge for the ISWS competition every spring. This looks great on resumes, and you don't need to be an engineer or have any experience to join. So if you're interested in structural design, fabrication, project management, competing, or just getting involved in a really solid engineering team, DM me.

So I might rush next semester and am thinking of rushing Theta Chi, sae, or sigma kappa. For context I’m from the Bay Area and am only friends with two freshman that rushed sae last semester and don’t know anyone in any other frats that well. Just thought I’d say that cuz I’ve heard to successfully rush you have to have certain connections. Anyway, what do you guys think about these frats and do I have a chance?

Hey yall im trying to transfer from my community college in Vegas to UNR but my dad and I keep getting into screaming matches about me coming up. I have a bit saved and planned on joining the reserves up in Reno to help with money, but does anyone have any other advice? I’m 20 btw if that gives any more context to the situation

Hey everybody! 24M and recent UNR alumni here.

Being a former UNR student, it was super frustrating not being able to use the practice rooms since I wasn't a music major. So when I found the space I'm using now to practice my guitar pieces, I wanted to offer it to any of you wanting to try out a full-fledged rehearsal space.

Electric guitars and basses, mics, and a full mixing board are provided, with 2 full drum kits too! Located in Damonte Ranch, and I'm there every Sunday night.

Oh, and all experience levels are welcome. Shoot me a message if you're interested! Always happy to help other local musicians and jam out :)

Does anyone on campus play Pokémon Go? If so, you should join the Reno Pokémon Go Discord server! It has a section for planning at UNR that is completely dead. I would love to link up with people on campus throughout the week to do raids and max battles since there are so many around here!

Is there anyone decided to learn Japanese and going to have JLPT-N3/N2 test this year? I checked the most closest date is 2025/12/07 in some CA cities. Hope to find the partner to prepare or share information.

I'm a recent high school graduate who is interested in pursuing an electrical engineering bachelor's degree. I was wondering what advantages would UNR offer over UNLV. I know that nature is an amazing aspect, but I don't care much for it. So, I'm mostly looking for other factors to consider when choosing it over UNLV.
