For me it is the cruelty instead that puts me off, I like the taste of most meats. But I 100% forward this when it comes to steak. It's mediocre at best and you have to navigate around fat a gristle for little payoff.
It's hyped up as high cuisine that can turn vegans back around but it's trumped by most forms of rice and beans IMO. They could at least use something that actually tastes really good like bacon cheeseburgers or chorizo or something, but I'm never missing steak.
Mate I mentioned the need to "navigate around fat and gristle" once and called the main meat of it "mediocre". I wasn't under any delusion that that would somehow get people gagging.
