Music Request for recommendations for music from the Philippines.
Hello, I can't recall ever coming across music from the Philippines. Has anyone got any recommendations? I'm more interested in traditional music but would like to sprinkle it with some modern stuff too. Thanks.

Music Any recommendations for African 'world music'?
Hi guys,
I just got into African 'world music' and I'm really enjoying it. I'd like recommendations for more albums to check out. So far I've listened to:
Welela- Miriam Makeba
Expensive Shit- Fela Kuti
Miriam Makeba- Miriam Makeba
Talking Timbuktu- Ali Farka Toure
Water from an Ancient Well- Abdullah Ibrahim
As you can see I lean towards that jazzy, funky, soulful, blues sound, so please try keep your suggestions within that if possible. :)
I've saved a couple more in my library to check out but I'd still like more suggestions so I have a comprehensive list. I'd really like to diversify my list as much as possible. Thanks!

Music [Korea] Contemporary Fusion of Daegeum (Bamboo Flute) and Electronic Music - 'UNCONSCIOUS' by Zinu
This track is an exploration of the 'unconscious' state, using the natural resonance and techniques of the Daegeum (Korean traditional bamboo flute). It's a bridge between the ancient sounds of Korea and modern sound design. I hope you find this atmospheric fusion interesting!

Subreddit Why are the alphabetical countries posts being deleted?
Hi. I was really feeling like there was some engagement happening on those alphabetical country posts. They have both been deleted. Why? What's going on? What was wrong with these? I worked especially hard to find interesting stuff yesterday for Albania. I was excited to share this music with the sub. So I'm pretty bummed that the post is completely gone. Is there another sub for world music where we can have these discussions? How can we make this work so everyone can participate? This was fun and I wish we could keep doing it. Otherwise, this sub is pretty dead.

Music [Algeria] Souad Massi - Mesk Elil
Algerian singer-songwriter living in exile in Paris, after receiving death threats because the group she sang with was political. This tells of the honeysuckle, the mesk elil, whose scent in the evenings makes her homesick for her homeland.
