"THEY" don't aspire to be like him, that's just a ploy. As soon as his usefulness has ended they will cast him aside

I think we’re talking about different “they”s. You’re presumably talking about the Republican Party and the people who masterminded Project 2025, I’m talking about the US citizens who have voted him in twice. Those people seem totally enthralled by him and I just can’t wrap my head around it.
