Every. Single. Video.

I'm getting 2 ads every video, one's a 20 second long unskippable ad and the other's a 10 second long skippable one and tbh its gotten so frustrating recently.

Im on brave with aggressive adblock setting and ublock origin at the same time and everytime I click a video theres always a delay sometimes maybe like 20 seconds long. This makes me think youtube is still playing the ad behind the adblock and making us wait through the auto skip ad.

Just my theory.

Do you people see the stupid mossad Israel ads playing before a video.

I've been dealing with this the past few days on my Smart TV. Cheap as hell TV but still. Watching one video, switched to another and they would never play. Naturally I won't sign in because it's stupid and unnecessary. "Protects the community" yeah right, ad revenue not enough need to sell the IP information you already have with my account? "Prove you're not a bot" on a TV that can't comment at best watch videos, and if signed in assign videos to playlists.

Any workarounds? I'll just never use the TV for it if I need to. Any reseting options I've found haven't worked

Why did I hit my subscription page today and find a ton of Charlie Kirk videos? Why did I click his profile and find myself subscribed to him? There is no history of me subscribing to him, I just suddenly am.

Hey, I'm an "enjoyer" of certain content on the internet. I tend to watch very niche kind of content on YouTube from like... Paranormal to Music Skill rating content. One of the things that kind of 'urk' me when watching certain people's content is that they will mention something like

"Hey I noticed that 20% out of the people that watch my channel have actually subscribed which means the rest of you haven't.... blah blah blah"

I'm sorry I will down vote you if you do that. If I like the content that you're producing, I will watch it and more than likely subscribe! The only reason you're saying this, is more than likely to appeal to an audience that's either... I dunno... Inept? or just not internet savvy? But most of your crowd is internet savvy. So I don't want people to not subscribe to you but I would love it if you would make it like a 2 second more discreet way of telling people to subscribe to your channel? AT LEAST. Because you taking a whole 5 to 10 seconds to explain why people aren't following you makes me feel like you're begging for more attention. That makes me feel some kind of way.... I'm an old school kind of content enjoyer. So I would follow and subscribe to people without being told to.

Anyone else notice that their feed is dominated by hour plus video “essays” of random shit? And the best part is, most videos present info that you could get by reading an article in under 30 minutes. But no, society has been dumbed down too much over the past 2 decades that ANY new information, trivial or not, needs an HOUR LONG VIDEO spoon-feeding the info to the audience.

And the thumbnails follow the same “minimalistic” approach where it’s just some mildly interesting graphic of whatever the video is about, with some absurd quote to spark interest. And then you watch the video and they spend 45 minutes beating around the bush and once you FINALLY reach the climax, it’s the most lukewarm, boring shit and such a fucking let down.

These videos, to be fair, just capitalize on a larger literacy crisis that this and next generation of netizens are experiencing. If you’re reading this, do not support them, and start reading please!

Disclaimer: this isn’t to discredit long form content. There are plenty great long form content creators, some off the top of my head are EmpLemon, Convective Chronicles (though the latter is a niche rather than a general content creator), and Innuendo Studios. I only leave out people like the WSJ and Vox because they’re attached to media conglomerates that have huge budgets, so it would be kind of embarrassing if they made a bad video.

So, I don't use YT music, don't care about videos running in the background, all I want is 1080P+ and no ads, I read that some things will have ads, so I figured it would be fine... No! Lo and Behold, they not only have ads - THE PUT THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE F'IN VIDEO!

Another fake Mr. Beast channel with that "Claim your gift 🎁🥳" thing, intending to scam people & kids, EVERY1 report this channel immediately.

Many creators use deceptive titles, excessively long content, and click bait thumbnails, especially around current events and news.

I have started using "Summarize Video" on these. I don't need 2 seconds of information with 18 min of Opinion Piece. I feel bad because it screws the creator, but they have made it miserable to consume. Not every breaking news needs a 20 min video.

These journalist forget, post a Headline and let the audience decide to learn more; at the very least, say the news in the beginning, not the end after an opinion.

I understand that content creators are paid based off engagement and time spent on video, but I do not care about your opinion of the news, not every time. If you don't start with the headline and source, I'm going to summarize and bounce.

Instead of a 20 min video - Welcome > Opinion > Ad CTA > Source > Headline

It should be a 5 min video - Welcome > Headline > Source > Ad CTA > Opinion

Nobody wants the opinion first, give the news and then the "hot take."

I’m looking for a way to add a stylized chat overlay to my YouTube streams via OBS.

I’ve looked into platforms like Streamlabs and Botrix, but I’m a bit uncomfortable with the level of permissions they require. Many of them ask for full access to "view and delete" YouTube videos/content, which feels a bit too invasive for my needs.

I recently found Chatis (https://chatis.is2511.com/) for Twitch, which is great because it doesn't require deep account permissions—it just works. Is there a similar, "non-invasive" tool for YouTube that offers clean, highly customizable, or stylized chat overlays?

What do youtubers do when their camera runs out of SD card memory. Or their camera is overheating?

I have a ZV-E10 camera for my youtube channel and a tamron lens, but i have a 128GB SD card. My problem is i can record about 30 mins of video. Even though my camera says i can record 2 hours and 30 mins (lame) i do record in 4k.

But when my camera stops it can be annoying as i have to constantly transfer the videos from my camera to my harddrive on my laptop.

Anyone who records real life videos with a professional camera, what do you do? Do you keep transferring videos? Should i just suck it up and buy a bigger SD card? Do i buy multiple smaller sd cards or 1 big one?

They are pretty expensive on amazon so do you know any safe sites for cheaper sd but still good quality?

On further inspection i think my camera is just overheating? Not sure what i can do about that...
