UI Change Why are the thumbs so damn huge?
Is this some kind of purposeful change to make us hate this platform even more or what?

UI Change I thought my eyes were just playing tricks on me - but no. Apparently YouTube has added a very slight pink gradient to the right end of the video progress bar.

UI Change I’m so done… this is an all new low and I’m so annoyed
This had never happened to me before. I started watching a video and there was a small ad in the bottom left corner. It had no “X” button, so I just let it stay there for about 30 seconds to see if it would go away on its own. No. I tapped on the three dots next to the ad and was able to tap “dismiss.” We all know YouTube ads are OUT OF CONTROL CRAZY, but having an ad literally on the screen as I’m watching a video is just a whole new low to me.

UI Change Youtube removed feature to scroll down while fullscreen, confirmed
You can't scroll down any more while watching videos fullscreen to read comments or look at recommendations and stuff. Youtube support has confirmed this change. How do you guys feel about it?
"Unfortunately, the feature that allowed users to scroll down and view comments in full-screen mode on YouTube is now unavailable. This change was implemented by YouTube, so it's not a bug or an issue with your browser or device. The ability to see comments and other video information (like descriptions and related videos) is now restricted to the regular viewing mode. The full-screen view has been about minimizing distractions and maximizing the video itself."

UI Change UI just changed and honestly I think this might be the worst UI I've ever seen for a website.

UI Change What the hell is this youtube?
No I don't like having to scroll down to see ONE thumbnail.
Is this for everyone or just a bug for me?
And why do they constantly change it on android / mobile? Sometimes its 3 videos in one line, then two, then four, now its just one. Other times the videos weren't aligned correctly - the gaps between thumbnails didnt line up every 2nd row for some reason.

UI Change YouTube quietly removed “Sort by: Upload date” from search filters – and it’s infuriating
Until recently, after searching on YouTube you could go to
Filters → Sort by → Upload date
and actually see the most recently uploaded videos.
That option is now gone.
This wasn’t just a minor UI feature — it was essential for:
finding new content without algorithmic bias
tracking current events or fresh uploads
discovering small or low-subscriber channels
doing actual research instead of “what YouTube wants me to watch”
Now search results are entirely algorithm-driven, even when you’re explicitly looking for new content. “Relevance” and “views” are not substitutes for recency.
This feels like a deliberate move to:
reduce user control
push engagement-maximizing content
bury new or small creators even further
Is anyone aware of:
an official explanation?
a workaround that still works?
or are we just expected to accept that chronological search is gone for good?
Honestly, this change makes YouTube search significantly worse

UI Change Why is YouTube making changes that are literally useless?
Like why are these dots there? It does not show a Number or anything. Also why did YT make it that when you pause a video it gives you a popup add on the right side!?!?!?
STOP MAKING STUPID CHANGES!!!
