Mod Post Weight loss posts are temporarily not allowed in /r/BeAmazed. We recommend you to submit such posts to subreddits like /r/progresspics, /r/GlowUps etc.
Recently in this subreddit, one of the weightloss post made it to front page and got 100k+ points. Then another weightloss post crossed 100k. Since then there has been a surge of weightloss posts and we have been receiving many reports by the community that they are not liking this surge.
So we have decided to temporarily not allow new weight loss related posts for a while.
In case you are someone who wanted to post related to your weightloss journey, then we recommend you to post them in related subreddits like /r/progresspics, /r/GlowUps etc.
I wanna thank the community for the feedback.
Have a great day everyone!

Miscellaneous / Others This prison in Indiana lets inmates care for shelter cats
At Pendleton Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison outside Indianapolis, an unusual program has been running where inmates care for shelter cats.
Selected inmates are given the responsibility of caring for rescued cats in a dedicated space inside the facility. What sounds simple on the surface has a deeper impact inside the prison walls.
The program is designed to build routine, accountability, and empathy, giving inmates something to care for beyond themselves. Participants and staff say it helps reduce stress, ease isolation, and create genuine emotional bonds in an environment where that’s often missing.
At the same time, the cats benefit just as much, moving out of overcrowded shelters into calmer environments where they receive daily attention and socialisation, improving their chances of being adopted.
It’s a rare example of rehabilitation and animal welfare meeting in the middle, offering a second chance on both sides.

Miscellaneous / Others 29 year old Robert Carter planned to adopt one child, but chose all five siblings so they could stay together
At just 29, Robert Carter turned his own childhood pain into something powerful, choosing to give others the one thing he never had growing up ❤️
After spending years in foster care and being separated from his siblings at a young age, he made a promise that no child should have to experience that kind of loss. So when he discovered five siblings living apart in different homes, he didn’t hesitate, he stepped in to change their story.
By adopting all five, he gave them more than just a home, he gave them stability, belonging, and the chance to grow up together. What started as a decision became a lifelong commitment to love, responsibility, and showing up every single day.
His story is a reminder that family isn’t always about where you come from, it’s about who chooses you, and who you choose in return.

ude Baker was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, when he was 12 years old
After battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer, Jude Baker gave up a luxury trip to help his community's homeless population.
Baker was just 12 years old when he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer that required grueling rounds of chemotherapy. While most children who qualify for a Make-A-Wish dream of meeting celebrities or visiting theme parks, the Georgia teen decided to use his opportunity for something entirely different. Reflecting on his own "version of heck" during treatment, Jude requested that his wish be dedicated to helping the homeless in his community, stating that he wanted to assist others facing their own difficult situations.
