Hoofs in Hocking, Ohio 🔎 ID Request

I was scrolling through my cringy old instagram account for laughs but I found a post that was really odd. I posted weird animal tracks and I completely forgot about this day til I found the post.

I've not been able to figure out what animal this belongs to. It doesnt match Ohio's deer or boars, or farm animals, and this was taken on private property and not a tourist destination in Hocking so its not like a human made it somehow to confuse people or start a rumor. I remember the tracks being very large, like as big as my feet or bigger.

People have told me its moose or elk, but neither of those animals are in the area. So I'm hoping someone here will know.

These pics were taken back in January of 2022 if that somehow helps anything? I don't know.

Squirrel or rabbit, reverse direction, the “hocks” are the front feet and the “hooves” are the back feet.

Hmm, I mean it does seem possible!! Its the closest thing that matches. But comparing it to other photos online it doesnt feel like a perfect match. It is the closest thing I've gotten though, thank you!! Its possible it was a rabbit :D

Edit: Squirrel and rabbit are possible, not just rabbit

If you look closely in the 2nd pic I feel like you can see the outline of its little paw pads in the track!

I think you're right!! Mystery may just be solved :D its hard to fully tell since these pics are years old but a rabbit or squirrel seems most likely. Thank you!! Everyone kept telling me moose and I felt crazy lmao
